Amoeba--- how do I check the stats on your motherboard to see what it supports, both in speed and capcity? sorry I know nothing about computers :\

after i figure out all that info wheres a good place to order memory? i was thinking on putting in 3 512mb memory sticks and i should be good to go

Try Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html. It will detect & catalogue most of your hardware & software and is a useful free tool. I figure that much easier than popping your case open and looking for model #'s :)

If ordering online, try newegg.com or zipzoomfly.com.

If what I've been told is correct, you won't be able to use XP on system built for Vista. Something about the hardware configuration.

Fast, Better, stronger...... sounds like good stuf buddy!

Nonsense. Whomever told you that is a moro.. uh, uninformed. Format the HD and install. Nothing to it. Systems "built for Vista" only means that the hardware is fully supported by the Vista kernel or has Vista-capable drivers. Nothing that precludes using another OS like XP, win2k, or your favorite linux distro.

Glad your box is faster!
