I'm sure this has been asked before but what are some spare parts I should always carry (glow plugs), something that usually breaks:opps: ?

Thank you in advance:thankyou: !!!!!!

I always carry around a couple sets of spur gears, and a-arms.Also like you said glow plugs and and extra glow plug ignitor just incase it dies.

What rig is this for??
Every RC has weak spots and lil "gotchas".....whenever you ask a question about your ride be sure to let us know which one it is....

If your like me or Plaidfish you'll end up schlepping a whole damn hobby shop with you to the track! LOL Type of rig will help.

this year I'll be working on this theory I have of consolidation.....LOL...I'm tired of schleping all that crap to the track.....it has been useful more times than not but there has to be a happy medium between buying a dedicated trailer for toy cars and packing up 4 crates of crap to go play with your toys....

If I'm just out in the nearby park for an hour or so I bring some fuel, some batteries, glow plug, couple bottle of water for me and maybe a radio for some tunes. If i break something, I go home.

If I'm out at a bash site or track all day, yeah, I pack the trunk, back seat, sometimes passenger seat, and have contemplated a trailer on more than one occassion.

I used to be that way. I actually wore out a set of rear shocks on my car (real car) hauling so much stuff. Now it's just a duffle bag and maybe a few tools, the car(s), my radio, and starter boxes, if needed.

Lately if I'm going to bring it farhter than my corner bash pit I will pack it all and go to a track....I used to think that would be the worst place to run my stuff but after getting a buggy it was the only place I wasn't to run it.....

I have three vehicles... I normally bash within 15 minutes of my house, so I don't carry much for parts. I do carry my nut/bolt box though, tools, a small box of parts for the savage (axle parts).

If I break something, I drive a different vehicle... if I break 2 vehicles, I go home, because I'm just being retarded with the things I'm trying to jump over/through.

I do carry spare glow plugs, my tool bag (metric wrenches, buggy 4-way, normal 4-way, temp gauge, pliers, threadlock), spare body clips, two glow heaters, spare sub-c for heater, normal duracell C's for other heater in case I forgot to charge the sub-c's..., fuel, bug spray, sunscreen, paper towels, gloves.

Personally, i carry the things i KNOW i will break.

Mainly i carry Spare:

a fuel tank
Upper "A" Arms
A Arm End Mounts,
Body Clips
Nuts/bolts/washers to suit buggy
Wheel nuts (That actually fit !!!)
2 sets wheels
2 Meters spare fuel line (never know if you gonna need it)
spare RX 6v pack (fully charged).

As for tools, i carry everything i KNOW ill need in my starter box tray. These equate to:

5 glow starters
set ball ended allen keys (hex wrenches)
osidrive & Flat blade screwdrivers
VICE GRIP pliers
8mm spanner for turnbuckles
Buggy 4 way
8 glow plugs in a glow plug caddy
RX Battery test meter.

As for my starter box, i have 2 power sources both internal. (an article in itself with the mods i have done to it)

I also tend to carry at LEAST an extra Half gallon of fuel, Making sure that my buggy tank is full before i leave home.

I knew it was bad when I we got to the hotel and were unloading some of our crap to work on and one of my racing buds starts laughing and saying "you brought an extra chassis"

Its for a CEN MT2, not many of you have. I was just curious about parts in general if it even applies.

I usualy just pack me some fuel and body pins :) If I break, it's probaly time for me to go home anyways. Now I have started buying extra parts since my hobby shop doesn't stock that much for my truck. That means he usualy only carries my fuel and glow plugs lol Anyways, I went and bought me one of those big plastic tool boxes from HomeDepo for 9.99 which is actually a decent box for this hobby. The things I carry in the box:

Tire glue
Diff oil set
After run oil
Filter oil
misc oil
JB weld
Body pins
complete set of arms
two extra axle carriers (RPMs)
two set of bearings (RPMs)
Diff housings
diff ( the parts the house the spiders)
Axle shaft (one complete ready to go and two unready shafts)
completed set drive shafts ( transmession/drivers)
extra antenna
Screw kit
24 pack of AA's batteries
Glow plugs
Set of Hex drivers
Set of nut drivers
GP/Wheel nut T tool
Black electrical tape
Temp gun
misc tools
Revo receiver pack charger

Next parts for the tool box: extra air filters, bulks, and rockers
