Well I got my new Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer finally... Took a while, but still.

After cutting it out and prepping it I'm ready to paint it up!

Here's the question, what paints are good for the job? First painting job I'll be doing, and I want to do it right.

What paints are nice in lasting, and bright in coloring? :)

What did you cut out?

I use Pactra and it sticks amazing! No runs etc.. 1/3rd thinner to 2/3 paint. Works great!

You can see pics of the body I did in my gallery. The Kyosho Buggy.

I prefer it to any water based paints.

for a 1st paint job stick to rattle cans.. take your time, and simple is better... don do the flip paint there are problems that even experianced painters get with it the first few times... and the water based paint requires air brushes and all.. stick to a simple 1 color maybe 2 color design that can be rattle canned..

unless you want to go and invest in an airbrush, use rattle cans. Make sure it is lexan paint. Take your time masking it, use light coats, and you should have no problems. Use whatever colors you like.

Cool idea, I'll have to see if I can't get some of that Pactra. I like the hicolor tones they show. :)

I'm going to do it in 4 colors. I've painted before, just not an RC body. I'm keeping it somewhat simple. And I'm doing a decent color pattern. Probably Purple, Blue, White, Yellow. I just like those colors together :)

What should I undercoat it with after I painted it? And I'm doing 3 coats, just like the pro-line manual said. :)

With the colors you have chosen back the whole thing with white. You may want to back each color before proceeding with the next color. Some painters will do that, some wont. I like to back each color before moving on, it keeps your next color from bleeding through your last.
