Done for the day. 😊

I couldn't help myself. I had to test the lights after getting the kiddo to bed. They work! (Always a bit of relief, lol)

Of course, I realized it now, but obviously the TRX4 Blazer fender wells are too wide for the Corvair. Not sure yet how to tackle that... tomorrow is another day, lol.

This is the best accidentally perfect paint job EVER!!! Those lights fit the car like they came with it!
I love it! 😍

🤩 I can confirm that the Axial capra 1.9 lenses are an absolute perfect fit for the rear lights. Painting the brakes lenses red give it and old faded look, I think it works well for the new theme. The headlight lenses are maybe a hair too wide, but you really wouldn't know it.

My lighting idea married up just as planned into the TRX light Distribution Block, so thrilled.

Body mounts and door handles are in order.

Looking great!

It looks like there is plenty of material there to cut off to make it fit the body.

Or trim a chassis to fit the body. Happy dremelling!!! 🤣
Right? Sounds awfully time consuming. I'll just remove the inner fenders first. Finishing the last paint/decal details today :)

Painting and decals are complete for my Rovair! 🤓

On order:
- narrow inner fenders, which will fit the body better.
- magnetic body mounts
- door handles

I'm sure I'll add to this body over time cuz it's so darn cool. I'd like to add a roof rack to fill it with Mars overlanding gear 😆.

Once I've got the rest of the parts, I'll post up a final assembled photo.

Now I'm excited to see this finished!!! 🤣
It came out GREAT!!! Nice job!!! 😎👍

Yup. Even better. Now paint a few riveted on panel repairs of various shades 😉
oh yes, I've definitely have some mods I'd like to do over time to this rig. I'll need to research a roof rack that may fit it; might be tough since its a long wagon roof. A 3D printed grille would be cool too. ;)

There are lots of long roof racks out there for rigs like the Gen 8 from Redcat for example. Most of the popular longer roofed bodied trucks should have a roof rack out there somewhere.

Working on the Rovair tonight. I got my magnetic mounts in, so those are installed. The hubby gets the kiddo to sleep tonight, so I'll use the free time to get these sweet door handles installed. She's drivable, just getting the finishing touches done.
I'm using the Blazer bumpers for now until I can get funds to upgrade it to an aluminum bumper :)
