anybody painted their own bodies? looking to do some crazy colors but wondered what paint to use. i know kyrylon makes paint made for plastic and stuff. will that work?

Thread moved to Body Shop...

There are a lot of us here who paint our own bodies. If you take some time to browse the Body Shop section, you'll see a lot of custom work by a lot of members. The bodies for our rides are made of polycarbonate. To paint them, you need to use a polycarbonate compatible paint. There are a lot available. Parma Faskolor. Pactra Racing Finishes. Createx regular and Auto Air. Spaz Stix. Tamiya paints. These are all formulated for use with this type of plastic. Some come in spray cans. Some need airbrushes. If you look around, you'll see there is a lot that can be done.

If you want good results go with a Lexan brand paint that you can get at your LHS. krylon paint will most likely crack and chip.
