What’s the best paint to use when painting a lexan body? I'm not really into body work or painting (rather on the tuning side), but I need to know a good brand that I can probably find in a local hardware store and or hobby shop, and comes in a rattle can.. Nothing fancy like airbrush etc… I'm asking this question because my recent body I have painted for my Savage 4.6 is starting or has chipped of terribly. It's almost back to clear again. I used the regular automotive spray paint in a can that you would normally find in a local hardware shop. Is this a wrong choice of paint? Is that why it didn’t stick on too well?
Also, I have prepped the body before painting, by washing it with soap and warm water and letting it dry… I just want a good brand of paint that will not chip off for the body I'm painting for the RS4 project don’t want to ruin it too.
I have heard that the tamiya (sp) rattle can paints are good and was wondering if there is any better or equal to?
Edited: i just noticed i posted this in the wrong section. please move it to the paint section. sorry!
