As many know, I'm not a fan of MT's (well, except possibly the HPI Jumpshot MT), so, i typically end up converting my MT's to SCT's, and this time is no exception. I took this what i consider an overbuilt Stampede, and converted it to a Slash monster truggy (it is still a work in progress a bit though). The Stampede (the reason i call it overbuilt is because of the way it was when i first picked it up), has STRC (shock towers, front hinge pin brace, aluminum bulkhead), Hot Racing (servo saver, spur gear), RPM (transmission housing and spur cover) and Traxxas (HD arms, adjustable links, driveshafts, wheelie bar), ProLine (shocks, body) upgrades throughout. The only original stock parts it had were the chassis, steering links, and skid plates. When i got it, it had the black ProLine Ford body on it.
I cheated during the disassembly a bit. I just left the front and rear mostly complete, and just separated everything from the chassis.
Parts for the conversion.
The Chassis.
Steering bellcrank.
Skid plates.
Steering links in blue.
12MM to 14MM adapters for the wheels I'm using (Arrma Vorteks 3S).
And, the wheels and tires.
Hobbywing 10BL120 (i ended up waterproofing the ESC myself, since i didnt realize it wasn't waterproof) and 4300KV motor.
Now for the Slash assembly.
Almost finished, but, i still need to get the screws to mount the wing.
Almost forgot the wing.
