I've been messing with the motor, new glow plug, new fuel filter, factory carb settings. The problem I'm having is that the damn thing won't suck fuel when I try to start it. I've tried taking the line off before the fuel filter and just turning the motor over to see if fuel comes out, but it doesn't. When I blow into the exhaust end, fuel will go right to the carb. But when I turn it the motor over, the fuel goes BACKWARDS and back into the tank. What gives?

Just a little more info, I've been researching a bit and tried all the common things, eliminated the filter, took fuel hose off the Carb and plugged with my finger and blown in the exhaust end (to check tank seal), checked the exhaust seal (its a new pipe and exhaust), and new fuel lines. The Carb and engine are almost new (4 tanks I'm told), settings are to factory spec. I have tried adjusting the settings for more fuel flow but no luck. What am I missing?

Usually a couple of quick pulls on the pull-start with the exhaust opening covered by your finger will prime the fuel line going into the carb. After that attach the glow plug igniter and start as normal.

Already tried that bro, but I have to use a starter box with this motor. Fuel isn't getting to the Carb at all. I took off the Carb and looked at the seals and all looked good. Not sure why I'm not able to get fuel flowing...

Check compression on engine by taking plug out and turning flywheel by hand. You want to feel resistance at top of stroke. If no resistance is felt at all i would say that its worn out and you dont have any compression to create vacuum to pull fuel to carb. I've ran into this before with a guys SH.28 on a redcat truggy that supposedly was brand new also. Come to find out after an hour of trouble shooting everything else the damn engine had absolutely zero compression or pinch.

*slaps forehead...* I took it to my lhs and asked for advice, and found out that I had overtightened the clutch bell and it was turning with the flywheel. Newb mistake, but I learned something important. Guess the hobby is all about learning. Thanks for the responses.
