:surrenderI got the advise to replace the enginebearings rear main and front,so I even was thinking of replacing the pushrod. I did about 3 ouers of racing.There was a play on the pushrod and crank.I took a new pushrod but the play is still there.Do I need to replace the crank to, and with what.I am so in love with this motor I do not want to loose it.:bow:
 
if you have play with a new conrod then yes chances are the crank journal has worn....if the mill has only 3 hours on it I'd look at your tuning...sounds like your running it too lean OR you put the new conrod on backwards and the small hole at the bottom of the groove running down the conrod isn't where it should be and you aren't getting any oil to the bushing and crank journal.....is this a V-spec (black case) or the older VZ-b (Silver case)?
 
It is the vz-b ,the black case.It is the first time that the motor is opened.My temp was 210-235,during the races.Iheard that some people says that the is softer then other motors,don't no if it's only talk.

well I know that mill runs like a bat out of hell but very few people's last too long.....keep in mind temping is just one check.....make sure you have the thin trail of smake puffing out til you hit top RPMs......you may be running lean on the low needle causing the journal wear but when you WOT it's cooling the mill then....
 
2007 model or older model. There's a difference and you can tell by the crankcase. The 07 models have a couple issues that were resolved from previous years. I've seen several let go in the last few weeks including one of my own, three of them cracked under the rod in the case. Try and find an 07 crank if you can.
