Hey guys I've got an old HPI Nitro RS4 that I'm upgrading and the thing it really needs is a real good engine.

Someone here reccomended the OS .18 for me and I want to make this this will work with my car.

I believe this is the correct engine, If so do I need any additional mounting plates or do I need to change anything else with it. Also would you reccomend anything else to upgrade, Id like to get a nicer exhaust system and header as well, what would be a good match for this OS .18

Thanks!

Actually, that one has a short threaded crank and if I remember correctly, the HPI RS4 NitroMT had a long/standard threaded crank.

This is the engine I used in my HPI RS4 NMT 2 years ago and it bolted it rather painlessly:
OS 18CV-R(P) standard threaded shaft

Is it the RS4 NitroMT or the on-road car?

This is a pic of mine after installation into the NMT:

I didn't care for the stock servo saver thing on the throttle, so I rigged my own.

Also, it was a good solid engine. By far better than the stock HPI NitroStar 15.

The engine would benefit from a better pipe though. The stock pipe/header was horrible. I never got around to changing mine even though I bought an associated tuned pipe and a traxxas header. I sold it a week after I got those parts.

This is for the on road, I've got a picture if it helps at all.
