OS .18 CVRX in a HPI NITRO 3

Hey guys, I took out my T15 from my nitro 3 and got a CVRX. How do u mount this thing correctly? Also, I used the stock purple pinion gears, and everything from the T-15. I am using the old hpi aluminum mounts that cost $3. How do u mount this thing correctly? What pinion setups do u guys use?

You should be able to use all the HPI hardware on the engine (clutch, flywheel and clutchbell). As far as mounting, if you have the mounts it should mount right up. 2 screws through the engine block into each mount. 2 through the slots on the chassis into each mount. Easy as that.

ya, i got the flywheel, clutch bell and all that to fit. Just fitting the motor onto the chassis is the problem. Gears don't want to align well. Anyone have pics?

is your pullstart hitting the upper deck? i know it was with my old nitro 3

i notched it to get it to mesh the right way.

ya, i tried to move the upper deck up more for it to fit. Would the purple mounts fit better?

Somehow the flywheel doesn't want to move. Is it supposed to move? Motor doesn't want to start. hmm...

Is the flywheel rubbing on something? Like the chassis, carb or crank case?

What flywheelare you using?you may need to shim the collet to push the flywheel out to clear the case.

mine dropped right in. the flywheel may be rubing against the tranny housing

ok, got it to fit. Used a rotostart plate instead, more room. Now I need to get red pinion gears. Anything else that is needed?

Anyone have probs with the throttle? The stock hpi throttle shaft isn't long enough on the servo. What to do?
