So, I have a 1/18 scale ECX Ruckus. Trouble is, it's discontinued. I love the size, and want to keep the same electronics. Does anyone sell "custom" kits, where you could pick certain parts/options, and get it shipped? All I need is everything but the esc, motor, receiver, and servo. Something kinda like those websites that let you pick the PC parts you want, put it together themselves, and send it to you.

Eww wee. A 1/18 scale 4wd monster truck kit is a tall order. What's the wheelbase of your little Ruckus? Maybe go up a bit on the kit scale requirements, and have a look at LC Racing's 1/14 scale buggies and truggies? Meh, you probably wouldn't be able to use your existing electronics then.

Hopefully, someone knows of a little gem of a kit out there for you.

Do you know how good the Losi Mini-T 2.0 brushed is? It's 2WD, would that make it harder to control, steering wise?

Aight bet. The brushed version is a great price, I may get it and slowly turn it invincible. Are there lots of upgrades available?

Can't really say comparing to a 4WD Mini MT but comparing it to a Mini B as I have a B myself and drove plenty of Mini Ts in the past, the Mini B drives a bit better as for the longer wheel base and lower to the ground making it more stable and planted around sharp turns.

Mini T brushed is perfect but once you upgrade to brushless it is a wheelie monster. Sort of the same thing with the B with stock parts but once you put on some heavier aluminum parts and some weight out front and some practice it will be a bit easier to drive. Coming from a past Mini B racer.

Other car suggestions, the Arrma GROMs are cool too! Granite, Typhon, Mojave. 4x4 too! Granite would most likely be the most similar to your old Ruckus.

My vote is a 1/16 Erevo/summit/slash slider on eBay. The electronics should swap right over and there's tons of upgrade paths you can take with that platform. With the mini maxx coming out, they've been popping up for pretty cheap lately. This looks practically brand new and its not a bad price.

They have their weaknesses, but make a better basher than a mini B IMO just because of the size difference. Grom's are great as long as you get the brushless version with the updated drivetrain.. I wasn't terribly impressed with the original GROM's when the first came out. Drivetrains on them are way too weak for how little power they have IMO. I feel they were a bit overhyped.
