I rolled my sons truck yesterday and noticed the antenna is starting to fray where it comes out of the tube. So I cut a 3/8 inch piece of fuel tubing and slipped it over the end of the antenna tube folding the wire with it but leaving a little of slack at the end. Presto, wear problem solved. Also have used heat shrink and hot air, but this was faster. Cheers!

If that antena started fraying the best thing is a new wire the exact gauge&lenght replaced at the pc board then use some fuel tubing to protect it were its rubing.(Old school the right way):whhooo:
