Old Losi Rc identifcation

Wondering what these old cars are and if there worth trying to make go again

The truck looks like a high roller. The second is a Mini T. The high roller came in 1/10 and 1/18 scale. Its long discontinued so parts may be hard to find.

Any up to date 2.4 should work. Are you wanting original?

The radio, esc and motor can be changed for better or worse. The high roller body you can get aftermarket. Measure width, length, and wheelbase. The screws and wheels are the same, tons of options.

The spur and internal gears, chassis, arms, shocktowers and such will be the issue. You may be able to fit another brands drive shafts or arms with some creativity.

If its a mini or micro, you may need a smaller reciever. Some smaller cars also have esc rx combo. I'm not familliar on those.

The Mini High Roller looks like a stand alone RX so Id just get a Flysky GT3b and a use that. The Mini T 1.0 looks like it has an all in one RX/ESC so that ones gonna be trickier. Youll either have to put a stand alone ESC and RX in it or do some googling to see what transmitter that it originally came with and try to locate one. Oh, and pray that the ESC/RX still works.

I charged the battery I have and everything powers up on both so maybe I leave this high roller in stock form everything is original and nothing broken it needs tires a body and a transmitter

So transmitter I would replace the receiver or the transmitter would work with the old one ?

So how do I look up tires like replacement rubber or wheel and tire combo any styles you recommend

The body would be a blank I’d have to paint and cut out then or are there finished body’s out there

I got recommended one of these transmitters before would that work good or bad

I've heard some people say they like the Dumbo radios but personally Id rather have a Flysky GT3b. Its about $10-$15 more but it has multi model memory and more options. You'll need to replace the receiver in either case tho.

As for the wheels, tires, body etc you're just gonna have to start Googling and see what you can find out there. If you find something you can come back here and post it up for a second opinion on whether it will work or not if you're not sure.

if the truck is a 1/10, probably not like expected.

Measure the outside tire diameter and look on ebay or amazon for that. The hex should be 12mm. 2.8 wheels will fit ok, 2.2 and 1.9 may hang up on the arms or knuckles.

Those wont work. If you take the wheels off of the truck you currently have I believe you'll find that the rears mount with a pin and the fronts just have a hole for bearings. The ones you linked mount on a wheel hex.

After doing some digging on the internet I can't seem to locate the rear wheels at all. There are various blue and silver aluminum wheels floating around for the fronts. If you can find the wheels I believe both the Mini T 1.0 and the Mini High Roller use the same type of wheels (pin & bearing). That being said you'll still need to find tires but I'm guessing that the tires for the Losi Mini T 2.0 will work on those wheels. Do NOT buy the wheels or wheel/tire combos for the Losi Mini T 2.0 as they mount with hexes and will not work. Does that make sense?

Both of those rigs are pretty old and finding parts for them is going to be pretty tough. Sometimes with old kits you may have to find a roller or a full kit on ebay and buy it and use one of them as a spare parts kit. Good luck

There are some hexes you can buy but the offset on the newer wheels is way different and the end of the shock rubs inside the wheel.

If you could find a hex kit that has like 7+mm thick hexes it might work.

Yes you are correct about the wheel and how they mount what about just the tires tho my wheels are fine the wheels measure inch and a half on the high roller

Youll have to make sure you can get the old tires off of the old wheels but if you can then just measure the inner diameter of the old tires and look for other tires with that same I.D. Id start by looking at the tires for the Mini T 2.0 you might have some luck with those fitting if they havent changed the tire size.

If you're referring to the link you posted above the wheels arent going to fit. You may be able to soak them in acetone fumes and unglue the tires from the wheels and see if they will fit on your original wheels though.

99% of the time wheel and tire combo will come pre-glued
