Losi has already stopped making parts for there 22 5.0 model. I had just order new front control arms and after confirming the order on the phone the guy told me in so many words, “don’t break these because you will not find them again”. For whatever reason you can still find parts for 22S & 22X but, the 22 5.0 has been left out. I just got a new body, rims, tires, and got it all fixed up for the season only to find this out. Does anyone know where to find Losi parts. It totally sucks when your too scared to drive an RC car for fear of breaking it over a few grams of plastic.

i thought the 22 5.0 was the current gen platform (?)
why would they discontinue... oh wait, wHorizon. so Losi (or should i specify TLR?) doesn't have a 1/10 racing platform anymore? I'm half wtf and half not surprised.
try ebay (?)

I feel your pain.

When you buy certain HH products you almost need to buy two or three if you plan on keeping it long term.

Once it's discontinued they're moving on.

Honestly I don't know what's going on with Losi, they don't seem to offer much that interest me these days besides the ProMoto X.

I don't keep close tabs on TLR/Losi discontinuation dates. If I remember correctly, people were complaining about parts support before the official discontinuation word went out. Yeah, after a quick three minute search for another set of front arms, I only came across two places with them in stock. One place I never heard of (best to use scamadvisor.com or similar to verify the trust level) and the other place specializes in jacking up prices of hard to find parts.

It's not retired until you say it's retired.

That is Horizon's philosophy now. Release a new model, let it run for a few years, then quit making it, quit making parts, and pretend it never existed.

They expect everyone to just throw their RC's into a dumpster. They are right though. Buy a Horizon RC, take it home and unbox it, drive it til it hits LVC, then toss it in a nearby dumpster 😊

The old brands that Horizon gobbled up, like Losi, Axial, Arrma, etc, are not the same as they used to be. I think one of their latest acquisitions - Pro-Line, set an all time World record for how fast a great company can be turned to chit under new ownership.

Unfortunately they dropped support for the 5.0 and came out with a new 2wd buggy. I'm in a similar situation with my 22x-4 elite. I would try and pick up some extra parts if you can find, maybe ebay?

If you havent found somthing yet, give 3d printing a go! most smaller parts can be printed easily and should slide right in.

I would email RPM. Ask them to start making parts for these buggies.
Clearly this is an ongoing issue with Losi buggies. Seems like lots of ppl would buy RPM made Losi parts.
RPM won't even make parts for the RC10/RC10T/RC10GT which they should already have molds for sense they used to make parts for those vehicles. one would think with AE doing 365 new releases last year the market would be flooded with them so maybe make parts? nope, all silent on the RPM front. annoying really. i want some RPM parts for my cars and the old original RPM parts are freaking expensive!

They NEED to be making AE parts!

I'm actually surprised they're not. they're leaving so much profit on the table its insane. especially with vintage racing being a growing thing.
I agree 100%.
I would buy a set of arms for Optima Mid to try... If I like them, I have 5 or 6 more cars that could use them too.

Seems like there IS a market but what do I know!?

Had I been more confident that it was all going to bolt up, when I upgraded the Granite BLX to the wider 223 suspension, I'd have bought a set of RPM too.

My RC10 GT has a CRV18 on it. Pretty sure I'm gonna want RPM arms on that too!

A vintage company missing the boat on vintage revival does seem odd.
