I have played before i have had a few traxxas models .... i wanna get back into the hobby but dont know where i wanna start ... do i wanna go with an onroad first or do i wanna go monster truck or stadium 2wd ... and with what ever one i go with mmy picks would be a 4tec 3.3 jato 3.3 or a revo 3.3
my question in all is what should i get first and is there anything better than my choises
i want:
4tec for speed and handling on on road tracks (drifting as well probably)
jato for small jumps and light off road tracks
revo for big off road tracks

that sounds good buy them all

if you have your mind set on those you will end up with them anyway

it depends on what you thing you will do more or where you will end up playing

monster truck is a good choice

jato and 4tec are fast and fun

Really the only person who can answer that is you... do YOU want on-road or off-road? Car or truck?

Is there any better picks for what i want in any of themm or is the cars i picked damn good

For someone trying to reestablish in the hobby I dont know about the Jato. It appears to be a fun rig but bieng so small and fast I would imagine it wouldnt take to long to find the blindside of a curb or tetephone pole. Just my .02 The other 2 are great rigs and even the Savage X and Tmaxx are more than capable of putting that grin back on your face. Just a thought.....

I have a Jato 3.3... My mistake was that it was my first ever nitro rig... This thing is super fast... But very hard 2 handle... Don't get me wrong I love the Jato... Just wish I had gone 4 something a little easier to handle... Still having trouble getting the brakes right... Smh...

The very 1st day out with it... Just after the breake in...

So far from the past i had 2a jato 3.3s and a 4tec 3.3 ...and a tmax 2.5 ...are the 3.3 competition legal and are the turbos legal

Get a kyosho gt2 and put a picco turbo JL turbo .28. Awesome some combo. You will smoke. Any traxxas and have a awesome handling car

why does every thread turn out to be a pi$$ing contest the poor guy just wants to get back in the hobby we all love, and doing a little research

I think my only problem i had with my 4tec was in a race the one contest i was running out in second closeing in on first when a belt snapped to the fron wheels i went into a turn and thats when i found out i was running rwd only i hit the turn fast smashed into the wall busting servos shreading tires and killed mmy ezstart and so on id love the 4tec but id have to find a way to not have belts however i only ran traxxas so idk how other brands cars are ...are there any faster than a 3.3 4tec for on road cars?? That are not belt drivin or is there a conversion to get rid of the belts

Mmy jatos always had problems when if crashed the arms snapped almost instantly or jumping as well wasn't good unless it was a small jump and a revo i never had but i know its handling is better than the tmax as well as the suspension was better

+1, honesly you can't just have one, you might as well start planning to build a second garage just for your hobby:D

My first nitro was a Revo 3.3. It's a sturdy truck that is the best handling Monster Truck on the market, IMO. I still love it.

I have to agree with the others and say that you need to decide whether you want to play on road or off and then choose a vehicle.

If you want a 2wd ST that can handle jumps, look at the Rustler, I bash mine like crazy and love it.

I plan to get them all and i found my old 4tec it needs work but its my start. :)

So what ur sayingg is the 4tec is the fastest on the market as of now

Its not a pi$$ing contest when someone asks for opinions. He asked and we gave. Its a pretty basic concept and the whole purpose of asking for an opinion. So all of us should buy everything on his list??? Come on now..... Be a little more realistic. He asked for an opinion and it was given by several of us.

That said I agree with everyone when at the end of the day he is the 1 driving the rigs so the final decision is his and whatever he picks I'm sure he will be happy as HE picked it. We may have influenced the final decision but when you ask for opinions your going to get them wether you like the responses or not.

Ya I'm open to all ideas but it seems my picks were good for what i want out of them ....as i said i found my old 4tec... ill be getting another but for now I'm gunna get this one running and back into the races ty guys if theres any other ideas let me know ill look into it
