GS Storm SUT with the right after market parts you can make it into a buggy no problem and it comes with a big ass mill. Good radio. Savage is a good way to go too.

So Malakai, what's type did you decide on? Buggy or MT?

If you go with MT, I think I'd get an MGT. I just like the chassis layout on it....flat chassis with lots of room to work with. With the Savage you've got the TVP's and sometimes to take certain things out you have to dissasemble quite a bit. With the MGT you can move things around, or add things and have plenty of space to do so. Plus it's a pretty tough truck.

Theres nothing really I can say to tell you what makes it better.Well its a great car for all, comes with all JR electronics including a XR3i Transmitter and a R300 3 channel reciever. The engine is decent for stock. I've had mine for almost a year now and the compression is still tight enoughf or me to actually use some force to turnt he piston. They are just good cars, good quality and alot of parts avaiable.

i have a thunder quake and the only prob i had with it was i didn't think it had enough power with the stock .21 so i bought a 24.7 xtm and that thing runs strong now. No tmaxx can touch it as far as speed now. Only reason i would ever go with a t-suxx over the tquake is because the parts are easier to get. In the end it is how you treat it and upgrade it. Everyone is going to like what they have more than what any one else has. Get something you can afford and hop it up when you have the money. all the big time racers and bashers have a shell of the vehicle they bought with a bunch of hopped up parts to make them tougher, better looking, and make them run faster. just my 2 pennies.

Oh and the thunder quake is alot less expensive with mostly aluminum parts already so hopping up means an engine at the most usually.

And as far as buggies the guys are right on this one the storm is great.

I would love to race/bash

I can't find anyone around here that isn't stuck-up or a jerk. I would love to bash/race with you guys. I am only an hour from Harrisburg. I have an OFNA MBX, RC10GT, and a street car.

:help:

Did you mean to post this some where else are am I just lost?

Harrisburg

In the first sentence of the original thread they mentioned Harrisburg, PA. I'm just hoping to meet some RC'ers that enjoy this hobby as much as I do. There are some real jerks from the LHS around here that give RC a bad name.

gilbequick, i'm most likely going with the buggy. more than likely the x-t, because my LHS doesn't stock GS parts, yet. hopefully soon, i gotta get him enough business so he can expand! my best friend's dad might be losing his job, but hopefully not, so hopefully not.

rndtrp, :OT: what in the heck!

thanks for all the help guys!

like Waste Land said there is some good video on that trailor i flipped my savage 25 down a huge hill and hit a tree going fast as hell and it did nothing to the truck. the X-Terminator has a weekness though the rear diff case tends to break on hard landings on the wing but that is easily fixed with a home made brace i had a guy in cali to make me one with a cnc machine and he sent it the other day ill post pics of it when i get it

so, what are the bad parts of:

1 HPI Savage .25

2 XTM X-Terminator Deluxe, besides the rear diff case

3 Ofna Violator, or any other ofna buggy

thanks for all the replies though guys!
which of these are :tank: ?

actually, now it just might be a HPI super nitro rally. he's getting one, and rallyin' = :bowned:

Maryland is that bad? lol

As for suggestions:

Savage 25 is awesome.
TMaxx 2.5 is awesome
GS Storm is Awesome
OFNA buggies are awesome

Any one of them will have some upgrades to be done out of the box.

But all in all, they are all great choices for what you are wanting to spend.

super nitro rally? only bad things I've heard are that the engine's a little wimpy, but that could be dealt with with a 24.7 pro or a cv-x or somethin

Get a buggie

My vote is for a buggie. Any buggie you can get parts for easily. Mine goes great in the grass, and I think you will like it alot more than a MT. Also, if you are still wanting a MT you can always turn it into a truggie. Good luck, and read up on the parts that may be weak on any particular buggie in the 1/8 threads (such as shock towers, wing mounts, steering servos, ect...)

:buggy1: :redbuggy:
