Living in New England has its downfalls as this time of year nobody runs any nitro rigs. Well I said the hell with it and grabbed a full fuel bottle and proceeded to the local elementary school and spent the better part of the past hour burning up some nitro in the Maxx. What a blast with all the snow banks and ice around. Had a bit of a time getting the tune down as shes been sitting since early November but once rich enough I had snow roostin everywhere. can't wait for spring!!!!

:hehe: I'm resisting the urge to take my maxx out. Still a bit to cold here for my liking. But the 3ish inches of snow is just enough for fun but not so much to get stuck. Still havnt had mine in the snow since I put the badlands on....wondering how they will do.

put my maxx back together all this talk of snow gives me an itch I need to start bringing it to work all kinds of fun here

I've had nitros for the better part of 7ish years. This is honestly the first time I've taken 1 of em out. While it was a blast I probably wont do it again. The grin factor is not worth breaking the plastics because of the colds or wearing out the engine prematurely

Thats why I havnt taken mine out. I did when I first got it but honestly by the time I get it started tuned and actually enjoying myself my hands are to cold to do anything but head back in :hehe:

It's 21F out in Michigan USA and I just came inside from running my Kyosho Nitro Blizzard. That's what they made it to do and I couldn't wait to go blasting through 3" of fresh fluffy snow.

Snow banks are some of my favorite things to Maxx around on ,

its 2.12AM here in UK atm I'm hopping its warm enough to run my DBX today or my big block tomahawk ST i spent 15 min getting my DBX to run right saturday then decided to go back inside hands were like ice

i will have to post some pics of the tomahawk ST big block & dual tank setup soon

its five degrees celcius here in ireland but i only got my truck at christmas so I've been running it in the hail and light rain... the engine is already knackered anyway.
fact about living in ireland... no matter what the weather it can always piss on you in five minutes or to be more accurate - just when you've fueled and fired the engine up... i don't let a thing like rain or hail stop me from havin a crack at it or i'd never get to drive.

Please dont ever used the words "sweet" and "smell" in a post again as long as you are using your current avatar...I can't help but put 2 and 2 together... O_o

Times coming to change it soon enough. I know its real difficult resisting the hottness that is the hairy forest!!

when you change it I'm gona steal it lol

went to the LHS today and got a ansmann 2.4GHZ W5 radio gear for £35.99 so i put the W5 in my tomahawk st and took my fly sky FS-GT2 2.4GHZ out of it and in to my DBX ( i swear that dose not look right when reading it back )

so both my nitros are 2.4GHZ and both are ready to run tomorrow if the weather is good just have to retune the DBX again

one thing i got to say with the prices of complete 2.4GHZ radio gear sets there is no excuse not to buy one

the Fly Sky FS-GT2 was only £20-25 on ebay

The snow is great for bashing! I bought my new Nitro Monster truck specifically to play with in the snow since i dont have anything else to play with in the snow. :hehe:

I have read on here alot about how guys won't run them in the colder temps but I just warm it up real good before bashing and sometimes run foil around the engine if it is really cold and have no issues at all with it. I have run a gallon of fuel through it in the last month in the cold and it is still running strong. I guess if it dies by spring I will have learned a lesson, but I will just put a new engine in it and do it again next winter. :D Not sure what is too cold, but I have been running it in 18-30 F degree temps.
