OFNA Ultra Comp 2?

So I see this add in Tower Hobbies for a Ultra Comp 2 RTR for $284.99. Anyone know anything about this buggy? Is it a POS or a decent one for one of my kids? Will it break a lot easier? What do you guys suggest for a super newbie kid(s) I have a 14 year old and a 13 year old, both boys. They are interested, but I know it will cost me a fortune to keep them up with me and my friends. I am looking at the least expensive most durable 1/8 scale buggy. Or would 1/10th scale be better/cheaper. I think 1/8 scale are much more stout and less prone to break than a 10th scale...right?

Ofnas in general are good little cars. If you can, pony up and get one of the Hyper series. TalonOne has one for sale in the forsale section; his is a smokin good deal!
