neither Rx pack i have after gettin juice off the new 969 (7v plus) makes the ofna failsafe i just installed happy. it worx thats fine, tested it sittin static of course. but it always wants 2 flash the red light upon plug in. which on the cards says low batt warning. ?????? any1 else chime in on this. i'd think 7v is more than enuff 2 keep a 6v system happy dont u?

It may be to high of voltage. Receivers and servos aren't meant for much over 6 volts. It may be warning you either way.

Why don't you try deading the pack to around 6V and see what the FS does then. I have the same FS, but I'm using my homade packs that I made from NiMH 2010mah AA's. I charge the packs to just under 7 volts (6.5-6.9)since that's when they warm up a little bit. But I've never charged one over 7.

How much over 7 are you?

not much, .1v i put em on there in the mid 6s and same thing. these are both peak racing 1200mah niMH humps (standard)

I have mine in the receiver balloon, so I can't see it and I don't remember how it functioned, but it looks like it's supposed to blink, according to the instructions. That means all is good. Solid red means bad or no blinking means bad (dead battery)

Here's the link I found at OFNA's site:

hmm, then i read the rought translation wrong or the card is wrong. good deal. thx!

between this and my newly made TRS, the truck should be safe now. after hearin bout what happened last wk at the track (new fella turned on his tmaxx not really understanding freqs thus really screwin some1 up, runnin the truck into the pits nearly hittin people and killin the motor on revs but eventually break an Aarm b4 it was coralled and silenced)...i wont do this w/o these measures on my cars.

yeh my card must be wrong b/c it doesn't say what the site does, i'll go by that. b/c it shows normal function w/that flashin. goin 2 put 1 Rx batt on dead, and see if i get solid red.

I can't recall what mine does by default. It seems like it was pretty unhappy until I set up the breaking. After that it's been plug and play and I too have a 7v+ hump pack. Don't forget to test it.

Turn the radio stuff on. Roll the car on the ground (motor off). Switch off the TX while the car is in motion. If the failsafe is setup right, it should put on the breaks and stop it in a hurry.

Good thinking on TRS as well. With both you're much safer.
