I have an Ofna Ultra GT with an old force .21. I bought this buggy about 2 or 3 years ago USED. Anyway I have run about 8 to 12 gallons through this thing (Yes I mean gallons) and it will not die. I did notice that the compression isn't what it used to be but it holds a idle, start's up fairly easy and still seems pretty peppy. Has anybody had any similar experience with these engines? And does anybody want to buy a slightly used Ofna? :jk:

Those Dodge Darts with the slant 6 motor will run forever!!! I had a plymouth valiant with that motor and It had over 300,000 miles on it when I crashed it lol it would have probally lasted another 100,000 miles.

sounds like mikeburgin's been tuning your engine, he makes em last forever too.

Wow, 8 to 12 gallons is a lot for a nitro engine, even if its tuned right. My dad had a 1987 ford f-150 that he drove to work... he got over 530,000 miles on that truck before he gave it to my brother, who put a new engine in it like 50,000 miles later and drove it another 100,000 miles.... then he traded it in for part of the payment on his current truck... He got about $5,000 trade in for that thing.... great story that has absolutly nothing to do with the thread... :hammer:

Great story, now i think I'm gonna go take a nap, lol JK, lol 530,000 miles is alot thats half a million, uto u like that math dont u, now watch he be wrong, and then be made fun of throught the rest of this thread, lol

I dont understand what you're talking about... Someone help translate into English please?

Hmmm My Dad had a truck that lasted 450,000 miles but had to change rear end and tranny,s and other parts the engine was the original though and was really weak at the end. I now have half that truck on mine lmao It died and parts where donated to mine.

I have the ACTUAL hatchet used by George Washington to chop down the cherry tree.
Of course, in the time since he last used it, it has had 8 new heads and 32 new handles.

I just broke my chair LMAO.....the cherry tree axe...HAHAHAHAHAHA.....

I had to say it, since I've heard people in the past talk about having a truck with a half million miles on it. However, it's 3 engines, 4 trannys, another frame, new cab, new bed, and new interior. Yup, looks good after 500,000 miles, but what's stock? The passenger side floor mat?

WRONG 73 ford ranger that was my dad's then mine and he sold it to his friend 3 years ago...similar to rolex's post it's had 3 engines and 2 trannies....it's now over 550,000 miles.......and it looks pretty damn good.....okay the suspension was upgraded in 1980 to 3/4 ton and has had 351s since 76.....I miss that truck

It did... with the original engine... my brother when he got it, started driving it for all its worth (about $2), and it blew the engine and tranny... The bearings in the rear end fell apart when he took them out... the ring and pinion had some thin teeth... it was shot!

. . . there is no way that ford will last that long. . .

Oh contraire! I have to tell you - my previous truck was an '85 Ranger 4x4 king cab, 6 cylinder, auto tranny, and this is no bullshirt - the odometer read just shy of half a mil, it was somewhere around 499,800 or so when we sold it.

Original everything, and the engine did not smoke. I had to rebuild the tranny but that was only because I bought a new radiator that had a LEAK between the chambers and water got in the tranny. Other than that, just small items - alternator, water pump, etc. - but I have no reason to BS, that truck was near half a mill and I still see it driving around town.

Yeah but look what you had to do to it...3 engines and 2 trannys..and put suspension under it...

the suspension didn't NEED to be done he was just using to haul heavy poop and the stock springs were getting worn......not shot just a little worn....also he bought the truck in 76 and it had a blown engine in it at 35,000 so the 2 351s after had over 225k each......the trannies well thats just cause I was dogging it when I got it.....ford isn't known for their tranny to begin with.....but the body and frame and all the linkages are still original and still kicking....to be used as a work truck and then beat on by me after my first car got trashed and now some psycho redneck is drivving it, I think it's held up pretty well.....
