Official: West Coast Bash Sept 9th and 10th Reno NV

Ok people. Looks like there will more than likely be at least TWO different bashes. I can only go to one of them unfortunately. From all the posts, looks like there will be one in Norcal and in Oregon. There may be a Reno one but lets play that by ear. I am down for a Nor cal trip. I want to get this situated as I need to make hotel accomodations since my family are planning on doing some site seeing as well.

I'm up for a oregon trip if i have time,somewhere like cottage grove,They have a track,Just need to remeber the location,Probablly in august,that's when i should be set.Still not completelly sure if i can make it,Still need to pay for my truck,and gas is a scary situation.

Reno bash in September is starting to sound more exciting. Like Eddy said, it would be nice to have places to go at night.

The new track is called Reno R/C Speedway. I believe Dan is helping out on the track setup commitee so maybe he can get us all a guest pass for the weekend.

I say we setup a firm date for Reno. Track or no track, more members or less.
Reno is a great place to get away and enjoy. If a group wants to meet up in SF we can share a ride or caravan.

I will most likely take an additional day or two on either side of the weekend. There is a lot to do in Reno even if you don’t go to the Mustang Ranch

Sorry Ed..Mustang is closed, has been for about 9 yrs. Has it been that long since you've been out this way! But..they do have the bunny ranch in Carson City. That could be a historical trip. LOL

Yeah Oregon Bash! I would definitally be able to go to that one. Are there any tracks around Salem or near the middle of Oregon? BMX tracks would be really cool also.

Reno has the air races in Sept and Hot August Nights, well, in August. The town is packed then, so work around that knowledge.

I just want you guys to know before hand that this is a "New track" and has not been used all that much yet. Grand opener was last weekend, June 18th. The track is rough and is small and technical. It's more for beginer and intermediate, is what I am told. Haven't been out there since before drivers stand was installed. I don't want to hear any bitchen and moaning saying why did we come here. There are a lot of things coming up as Revo said. Hot August nights 2-6 Very cool if your into cars. And theres the Rib Cookoff the 30th of Aug thru Sept 4th. If you like ribs, this is the place to be. Theres lots of casinos, night life, and food. Personally..IMO I would like to see it on a weekend with things going on so you guys can get a taste of some of the events too. But thats up to all to decide. We will not be able to get the track to our selves as it is new and the club wants access to all. So there may be more than just our selves there. Kick it around so more..nothing in stone right now.

West Coast Bash at Reno R/C Speedway. Located 5 minutes from downtown Reno. Dan check on the race schedule so there will be no conflict with the townies.

After the bash we can head downtown and get some food and drink, among other things.

Keep in mind that the 2nd 3rd and 4th is Labor Day weekend.

Ok..heres the Race Schedule for the month of Aug and Sept. August dates are on the 6th & 20th. Sept dates are 3rd & 24th. We definitely will not be able to use track on these dates. All other dates, track is avalible. Also, this is a city track so it is open to all. And one other thing..Our hobby shop is not big, so bring parts. However they do stock a pretty good supply of HPI,XTM,Ttraxxs,Team Losi,Thunder Tiger, NO MUGEN OR OFNA PARTS AVALIBLE. So, theres the infor on track and parts avalability. Any other questions just ask. If this is a for sure thing, I would suggest getting hotel reservations like quick. That month is a busy,busy month for Reno.
