Thinking about converting my ntc3 into rally but do you think it would be able to run on freshly cut grass? The ground clearance seems to be about half an inch stock. However, I’m thinking about buying Super Nitro RS4 tires which would greatly increase the ride height, although I’m not sure it would fit

Also,

Has anybody actually done this? I have read countless post about people talking about doing a rally conversion and some very general replies on how to do this. Can someone give me more detailed instructions on how to do this?

So far I've decided on

1. NTC3 single speed transmission
2. Super Nitro RS4 Tires and rims
3. Lean chassis/dirt protector (prolly make my own)
4. Associated Factory Team Silver Spring 14.5lbs

Anything built for onroad should stay onroad. Unless you're running on a golf course green, it wouldn't be a very good ride, no matter what you did to it.

Yeah, I can't imagine that your gonna get very far in grass. I dunno.. I just don't see it. Rally is generally for dirt/gravel, where the surface stay relatively level. Grass will stand up underneath the chassis and bog it down bigtime. Honestly, I don't think you would have much luck unless your talking about the putting green.

I have seen custom rally NTC3's but they are run on low gravel.

I know they use the tc3 with a late modle body for dirt oval and I have run mine up at the oval in willits and its pretty rough and seems to work... good luck I would love to see pics of what you come up with....
