I have an E-maxx, using it mostly for bashing and fooling around with the kids. I have continuous problems on the ESC side. I've been looking at brushless cost and headaches, and finally ruled that out.

Does any one have the Super Rooster with the Titan motors? I'd like to get one, but even Novak doesn't recommend it for the E-maxx. they said use the EVX. But a racer at the LHS swears by the SR. He runs his batteries in series, and gets long run times.

Any help would be appreciated, since I'll probably fry my new EVX in the next few weeks.

First off, Why are you burning up ESCs? What motors are you running? What batteries do you plan to use?

Second, the Super Rooster would work, however, you really risk burning it up quickly without ample cooling. Make sure you're getting enough air flow to it before running it. Keep in mind that the rated to take anywhere from six to ten volts.

Here's the spec sheet. You might check out the super duty xr instead for 65 dollars price difference.

The titans (550's) and the Super rooster or not a good match. It will be slower and probably run hot. I have heard of people running two 12 turn motors with a super rooster in a Twin force but it was about the same speed as the stock motors with the evx and ran very hot. If you can afford it the Novak hv brushless would be the best route IMO. Brushless is no trouble, almost no maintenance, smooth as silk and very fast.
