Good morning to all-
Well, fellers, I just can't get enough of those little Eflite UNX mini-fliers. They are so easy to bind and fly, and that suits me right down to the ground. I don't do well with much complication in my setups and bindings at all. simple pleasures for simple minds, I reckon.

Anyway, I received the Eflite P-51 Detroit Miss livery today, and I just natural-born had to take it down to the flying field to see what she could do.

Fellers, this little plane goes like a scared cat. Very fast and pretty good on rolls and loops, and it does go up and it keeps on going up for a while. Handles well, not bad to control, but landing this plane requires the pilot to bring it in lined up with the landing area and under quite a bit of power. No slow her down and let her float with this plane- got to bring her in with some speed to control the descent.

This is a very good little plane- and it looks just as nice as it flies.

I will try to get some pics-

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

Most war birds you have to bring in hot, sounds like your hanger is getting quite the collection. :thumbs-up:

Stang? Yeup, War birdies are tricky. Low wingers are also tricky, they can fly groovie, but airspeed is the key, I got a little buddy to match your merican bird, its know as Der FW-190D shes the fastest in zie Luft-Waffel. LOL!

That's funny about the landing speed. Isn't the real plane the same way? I remember watching a documentary about the P-51 and some of the pilots were talking about how it wasn't a plane for novice pilots.

The P-51 has been my favorite plane since I first saw the red/white/blue one in the Tower Hobbies catalog in 1980. Like this livery.

That was when my dad bought his first RC balsa plane kit. I distinctly remember that was where the catalog naturally opened up to because the catalog developed a memory from me staring at the P-51 every time I grabbed the catalog. I never could convince dad to buy the kit though. I remember it was an expensive kit back then, and dad said that it wasn't for beginners.
