ok so i broke my engine done that bit finem so i my engine ticks over a bit to high so i messed with the idle screw and then with the high speed screw and now the engine stalls when i have released the accelerator ( almost everytime)

does any one know a good setting for the pins, like a factory setting so i can start again i found a a post on a site saying that for the HS needle screw t in fully then unscrew 3 full turns will this work, if it does then just the idle screw to do now

i was going to take it to my LHC but they can't do it for 2 weeks !

here is a link to my car, i have also rung nitrotek n they werent much help

Ok well it sounds like you set the idle with the brakes off. When you let off the gas, it shuts off the fuel completly. For a tmaxx and all engines I assume is 4 turns out on the HSN and the LSN should be flush with the LSN housing. Does that make sense?

yes so turn hsn clockwise fully in then 4 full turns out counter clockwise, i havent touched the lsn i couldnt find so how do i go about the idle?, thanks for the help mate much apreciated :)

my 18 cvrx is only 2 turns
go with only 3 turns to start and go to 4 only if it needs it
richer is better than too lean

just to clarify things, different engines have different needle settings. I just didn't want someone to read this thread and then down the road assume that their engine in a smartech uses the same settings as a T-Maxx, and burn up a good engine.

Most of the engines nowadays use flush on both the high and the low needle settings for factory. Try that, and lean SLOWLY down from there.

so the hsn needle is fludh with the round cilinder that its in ? if you understand what i mean
i did it 4 turns and it started then stalled when i accelerated so its to lean right?

bad news guys, was testing new settings out and body shell wasn't on and small stone has got cuaght in the car and has snapped half the teeth of one of the gear cogs :(

What kind of car do you have? When it stalled when you accelerated that means its too rich. Lean it off on the LSN 1/8 of a turn. try again. it should be very slugish and not go very fast at factory settings. when you lean it even 1/8 of a turn you should notice a performance boost on both needles, which is acceleration (LSN) and top speed (HSN). Once there is zero performance gains, richen it 1/8 of a turn and you are fully tuned. I am speaking for both needles BTW. Hope that helps. :)
