Hi all,

I'm totally new to this hobby... please bare with me. I tried googling everything I could to find the proper name to this "throttle arm" but couldn't. I guess an image is worth a thousand words...

Notes :
1) I don't know how this happened... I took the car out of storage and it was broken. I guess I just let something rest on it for a long time. Or maybe I broke it while taking off/inserting the batteries.
2) The car is a Kyosho DBX 2.0

Where can I get this part? Can I fix this myself? Please help!

That would be the servo horn, dont know hoe many tooth it is but someone will know give it some time.

Is it the same tooth count as a traxxas or futuba servo? If so i have a bunch of futuba servo horns that came with some servos i had a while back.

Thanks everyone for your quick answers!
@Rolex : I just can't find this piece in the exploded view... It's supposed to sit right on top of the battery compartment but I just can't see it...

Also is there any site I can order it from? If so, can I fix this myself or is it just better to take it to my LHS? Keep in mind I'm new to all this.

Thanks again.. I appreciate the help.

Its always best to fix it yourself in order to learn more about your rig. The servo horn is an easy fix just one screw and remove linkage and reverse actions to reinstall.

I had issues with the Kyosho Perfex servo and finding the correct splined horn to fit.
I recommend you take the truck or servo with you to the Hobby shop to make sure you get the correct horn.
Once you find the horn to fit, like said its and easy swap.

On the bottom left of page 12 in the manual, and the top left of page 13 is the only info I can see on that part. They actually failed to add it in the exploded view.

Take it to your hobby shop just to show them the part you need.

Thank you guys. Rolex you were of great help. Is this something easy to fix once I get the part?

@Zdragon71 : Just talked to AMainHobbies and they referred me to a forum which said it was 25T (link #1) (link #2)

Can you confirm? Thanks again.

Yes and also Snookman confirmed it earlier in this thread. The kyosho servos are indeed 25 Tooth so you need a servo horn that matches. Or buy a new servo like futuba or savox and they both match with 23T i believe.

My bad. Snook said that it was a 23 tooth. But the forum you linked me too stated kyosho is 25 and futuba an savox are 23. So best thing to do is take the servo off and take it to hobby shop and match a horn that works.

I was trying to avoid my LHS but it looks like I got no choice.. thanks again!

Well you could always just search ebay for a kyosho servo horn and buy it from there. Or a new brand servo all together from ebay. Thats where i buy most everything when my lhs doesn't have it and tons cheaper too! I will try to find one on there and post you a link as well.

Ahh ok well there ya go. The one rolex said. I tried at least got close. If a futuba horn would work i have a bunch of em and would just send you a few. I dont need em but the tooth count is different.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your help. I didn't see your posts and I already bought on ebay. There was a new guy at my HS and he didn't even know what I was talking about...
I finally found the exact same thing but I had to buy a whole set. At least it was cheap and I know it's the right tooth count!

I'll keep you posted.
