Got it here too. Unfortunately all of our local news stations suck ass so no pics. When I was going to college, our geography instructor pointed out the asinine builders putting houses on the 100 year flood plain in Ashland. Well, they're all under water now, it's been about 20 years. And once again Lithia Park is washed out, and the Plaza is full of water.

But that's not the heartbreaking news. Corner one of my track is washed out. :(

The watter is going down now.
Here is for the non believers, the catch of the day.
A 14 inch Striped Bass Posing for your viewing pleasure.

Downtown Napa is completely closed off so I can't check out the high waters.

Funny pic Ed. I like how you worked in the advertising in the background.

Hope ya didn't lose anything Eddy. Glad to see it's over.

I like the pic of the fish. Bigger than most of the ones I catch.

Here in Ventura County we are just getting showers and I reall don't trust the reposrt I get now since the last three promised rain a certain day and they don't show up on that day or don't show up at all. I hope all is well for you guys up north. Ed can they let you stay open?

Hey Eddy, my girlfriend says a bass in the tree is worth 2 in the bush.

Do we need to send a raft?

Wow! The pics tell the story.
I hope all goes well Ed.

I hope all you CA guys are ok.

Downtown Napa area got flooded.

Hazards of living in a river city. I didn't realize it was so bad or I would have went down there and took some pics to post.

Yep Nasty stuff.
The outlet mall and Auto row were under 3-5 feet of water from the Petaluma river. To top it all off, today was the highest tide of the year.

There was a 6 foot wide 15 foot long sink hole in highway 101 just north of us. 6 cars got all jacked up when it decided to give way.

Its calm now and most of the flood waters are gone but its scheduled to rain again later tonight and through tomorrow causing close to the same flooding. Needless to say, Ill be up bright and early and headed over to my Petaluma store to make sure sand bags are holding up.

Happy New Year!

Well, if any of you are watching the Rose Parade, you know we are getting rain down here now, too. Not the pounding that Ed is/was getting, but enough to where they issued a flash flood warning for LA County, but not Orange County. Got lots of wind, though. Had to tie a few trees together and put away things. Neighbors Christmas lawn decorations are all over the neighborhood now. I would have gone out and helped rescure them, but, hey, it's raining... :ha:

Looks like most of downtown Napa was under about 5-8 feet of water.

I wonder how the feds feel now about cutting funding for Napa's flood control project. These were funds that were already approved and promised. Had they not cut funding, the project would be in its last year of completion and this would have most likely been avoided. As it is with all the cutting, the project won't be complete till 2011. Over 1000 homes flooded and hundreds of business as well. Way to go.

Here is a pic of our movie theater. Grade slopes down from right to left of the pic. Water is about 4 feet at the stop sign and about 7 feet at the cinedome sign. The 2 boarded doors are up about 5 or 6 steps so my guess is that at the far left corner of the building that is not shown on the pic the water is about 14 feet.
