I have a 10 GT, and the pull start keeps breaking on me. This is the third time in 4 mths. So i have decided to go NPS. Man I did not now what all was involved. I need a backplate, and a new engine mount. The question i have is that the chassis that came with my factory team, will be able to handle NPS without modification on my part? :boxing:

Why convert it to a non-pullstart engine?? Just leave the broken P/S on it and use a starter box. Simple as that it wont hurt anything.
The only thing you really need to worry about is which starter box?
I would have just kept the broken P/S and did what Domination said. Honestly a pull start versus a Non pullstart will not be a great difference in power gain. But there is.

Leave it as is. You don't need to get a new flywheel and engine mount. Just get a starter box, OFNA true start is a nice one. I use the pink one. It can start both 1/8 and 1/10. Also has 1 single high torque motor. More than enough power for your needs.
I just got the crome top Ofna true start for my 1/8 scale buggies and then found out I will need to use a box for my Rustler what would be an inexpensive but decent 1/10 box for it, or can I use the crome top box for it somehow?
Hell, I'd figure out why you keep breaking the pull start. Are you snapping the rope, breaking the spring or is your one way dieing on you? These things aren't lawn mowers, your only supposed to pull the rope 8-10 inches. Quick short pulls... I've had pull starts last as long as 6 gallons and as short as 5 tanks. I've only broken one out of 10 in under 2 gallons. I recently had a one way bearing die on me, but that was 6 gallons old.
For starter boxes i would suggest this one http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAXU5&P=7 It works great on the rc10gt.It has plenty of tourqe to turn motors over.
