No cable....SUCKS!

So things have been really slow for me lately and I can't afford to keep internet and cable so I cancelled my dish network yesterday....................

Last night was one of the lamest nights I've had in years! lol. Regular tv totally sucks! wasn't any thing to watch.
Although I saw leterman for the first time in like 2 years, damn, he's aged alot.

I've felt your pain. On the day of the last NFL playoff game (last season) we upgraded our uVerse service to HD, which was supposed to be a simple switch that was done online. Five minutes later, we lost cable and internet. We called it in, swore up and down that it was on AT&T's end, and they were even going to give us credit, then the next day, the service tech came out, and we discovered that the line outside the house had been chewed through. BY OUR DOG!

Yea, so not only was it a very boring night, but we felt pretty stupid too.

Oh yea, since you still have internet, Hulu.com should be your new friend.

lol...i know the feeling ...happened to me when i had satellite tv....normal cable doesn't compare at all ...lol...sometimes the internet crashes for a couple hours and ii go crazy ...lol

Yeah, if I didn't have cable my PS3 would never be off. Very little interests me on network television.

Lets see....when I am at home my cable is recorded and streamed via the internet from Cali....it is highly compressed so it is like youtube quality on a big screen TV. Digital...HD? Really what is that? My internet is from the same company....at around three in th morning you MIGHT get a 100kb a second download. Always dropping offline....timeouts...ect. So slow that most of thr time you can't use Skype or MajicJack. I pay about a $100 a month for this great service. But the choice is pay for crappy service or have nothing at all. Here in the dersert I am paying $100 a month for JUST internet...and it is slower than the stuff back in Okinawa. But again...pay the price or do without....sigh...I know how you feel.

I'm not really a tv guy so it wouldn't bother me much. I'm usually stuck with whatever my son or wife watches anyway. Internet's a different story

I saw Coach for the first time last night in years and years and I always liked it but other than that its super lame......Although PBS has out door idaho which does alot of cool shows that give me good ideas of places for comps.

Its not that bad.I have lived without cable my whole life.Watch what u like online on sites like hulu or the stations site.


oh yeah congrats on saving 75+ bucks a month.

Actually one of the worst parts is not being able to rewind when I want now. I was always pausing and rewinding everything I watched before.
