nitro engines can very easily get gummed up. If the carb is gummed up to the point where you can't flush it out you would need to take the whole engine out and clean it thoroughly.

Really i would just try to have a fuel line that has no fuel in it and just have it connected to the carb. then the other end i would just blow into it and see if you can feel your air just flowing through.. if you blow into it and it just feels pressurized and air is not going in the HSN needle is most likely clogged.
 
If you do ever fined your carb plugged up, an easy way to clean it out is to remove the hsn and give it a shot of carb cleaner. That will usually clear it out.
