I can't prime my engine by blocking the exhaust. But I did it with no problem when blowing through the exhaust outlet or the back pressure tube.
When i crank the engine over one time (with the exhaust blocked trying to prime it) i can see the fuel in the line moving forward (by forward i mean 1 cm) BUT when i crank it one more time i hear the sound of an air leak and the fuel in the line actually move back one step.
The head is sealed, the exhaust gasket and coupling are also sealed, and I'm pretty sure that there's no leak in the fuel tank cap and fuel tubs as well.
But i do think that it has something to do with the carb.
But the engine does start and run ok.
engine: SH .28 P8.
