Nitro dieing off...

I respect you guys so don't take my argument seriously. I'm just a dude who owns a pool cleaning business and plays with Nitro RC cars in my spare time. I'm not a pro or even close to that.
I grew up with 9.6v Grasshoppers and Fast Traxx, slot cars, spring loaded key cars, Pull cord motorcycles and that rubber wheel you could just wind up and it rolled around.
I'll take shots at you guys but don't take it personally, it's just the Internet

I am sitting here thinking all of my planes are electric but all my cars are nitro.

Spring drive. I still have mine
looks like this

It won't go twice as fast. I know what you're saying, I never said you were lying. It won't go twice as fast it will just flip over.
You see? On paper it looks twice as fast but in pavement it does an instant back flip.
Logic doesn't always equal truth.

So what is fast to you? Numbers on a paper? Top speed? Or getting from point A to point B as effeciently as possible?

All good info in the previous posts, especially your spring wound car, @WVNed
However, let's do some real world stats here. Drive the Mustang and the Tesla from New York to Los Angeles, NEVER exceeding the speed limits and that expensive Tesla would be in an embarrassing last place.
The Mustang would take about 10 minutes at every fuel stop if you included a cup of coffee. By the time the Tesla was ready to go again, the Mustang would now be about 250 miles away.

Your saying reminds me of a vid that I watched some years ago!
It was a twin engine nitro,but ......
It was so over powered that it appeared that the rc truck was actually controlling
the person that was holding the controller.....LOL

Example:
This is my B-block Ld3 with hyper 21.
Its basicly rendered useless an never ever really will win a race,so its considered a shelf queen
novelty piece for conversation that makes me nervous as hell every time I run it...IT can't BE CONTROLLED!
Running this car at just an 1/8 throttle blips covers ground too fast before you even think about second gear.
A may never have the balls to open it up!

I'm not sure who'd drive 2700 miles, but anyway. You'd need breaks, plus it's free re-fueling, 340 miles per charge, and can charge 170 miles in 20 minutes- I'd choose the wait for extra luxury and easier driving to auto assists, but each to their own.

If the Superchargers weren't so far apart in Texas, I'd seriously consider a Tesla Model S P90D. The Ludicrous mode dusts even the mighty Challenger Hellcat...

My son has his car explode in my kitchen and then tells me nitro is too complicated when I try to show him stuff.
If you like electric run it.
Nitro is not dying. It is just evolving. The cheap junk is being replaced by electric cheap junk.. The good stuff is out there.

I just started doing this last year and I haven't had any problems growing my interest in Nitro vehicles.

Spaceball 1 may have had the brushless ludicrous speed, but I bet the Winnebago was nitro fueled. :hehe:

@hamz9561 that's hilarious. I thought I might be the only grammar Nazi around. My wife says "exspecially" all the time and I'm like Ess ess ess lol
