RC Driving Style
hey i was just looking at some 1/8 buggies and they look pretty sweet would they be a bad idea for my first nitro car? just wondering cuz I'm looking the the ofna x1 RTR and its awsome give me some ideas on others or are they to hard to tune take care of for a first timer would u point me in the right direction and i can spend 500 bucks on an r/c

What are you going to do with it? Are you going to run on a track, or in fields/grass?

Tuning is going to be a pain for a new person, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly.

I think the best RTR's are as follows but no particular one in order.

Ofna Hyper 7 PBS RTR
Ofna Hyper 7 PCR RTR
Sportwerks Mayhem RTR
Jammin X1CR RTR

Now the Jammin is the only one I have not really driven much to say if I liked it or not to buy but the others are great starts for a novice.

Tuning, I suggest you read up on that, post your questions here. I also suggest geting the Ultimate Nitro Tuning Guide It will help you a lot. The rest we can help you out with .

Driving style also is needed to help out. If you plan on racing soon or just to bash then I may suggest a couple more but they are heavier in price.

Good luck. And let us know what you get!

some on road, mostly on a dirt bike track and flat dirt then maybe racing at a local track

If you plan on racing at any point in the near future and you are looking to spend that much moola, then I'd say go with the Xray XB8R. Here's something to consider though, what brands are supported best in your area? Meaning, head do to the LHS and what do they carry. It's suck to break something and have to wait cause you needed to order it.

well I've got a hobbytown right down the road and i dont really wanna spend that much more the 500 and I'm not gonna be able to race tell the summer
