nimh/cd vs Lipo

Whats the Pro's & Con's of Nimh/cd and lipo.
I've seen lipo and brushless setup's do some crazy thing, but can nimh/cd do the same.

I want to know
Price ranges on both
Runtime
Charger prices
Motor prices
is there any other procedures that i need to learn about lipo and brushless systems?

I just got a TC3 and i want it to do about 60-70 mph.
I have a ESC Novak Super Rooster
D-4 13x2
GP vis-team matched 3300 6-cell pack.
Full carbon chassis and aluminum braces.
I would say it does about 25mph but that not enough for me.
Please let me know what to do with this car.

Pro:
Less weight
More MaH capability

Cons:
If done wrong, FLAMES!!!!!
You will need a different charger if it isn't LiPo compatible
Requires more attention when using it

well my buddy got a mamba 4600 in a slash and with a venom 7 cell nimh it was fun but
on a 3cell today it was really fun and had to reglue the tires lol

i woulod say brushless and lipo all the way its worth it

i can't really say pros and cons i havent been in the game long enough

I run both. Depending on the mood. With lipo you can get a much higher voltage with smaller batteries.

I'm looking for some high speed's can i get atleast 50 MPH with NIMH???

Depends on which motor and ESC you are running. Some can take up to a 12 cell nimh, so yes it is possible.

hey I'm doing a project on my truck after christmas, it involves a 14.4 cordless drill so i can run 2 packs, and with have more power and rpm, it uses the mechanical speed control from the drill after the spring is removed,and the drill motor is 550 and has same mounting holes as a stock motor, but if you or anyone else has any questions send me a message.

The rooster will handle 10 cells nicd/nimh and no motor limit. I want the same thing outa my pede but I'll probably stop where I'm at after a motor. Running a titian 12t with rooster and 8 cell 4600 now. I think we're both living in the early '90's and need to spend the $250 for a new traxxas vxl. But then there's the lipo batteries. And charger. And balancer! It's tuff to switch, ain't it?!
