But is it really the right time? A huge hissy fit which canceled last season has driven fringe fans away. No doubt. All that's left are diehards looking forward to the season. Hockey has an uphill battle to win back fans. And seeing as in the US, it's a 4th tier sport without the foothold that baseball, football and basketball (and even golf) have, relegating their coverage to a premium cable channel is really a questionable move. Believe me, I get pissed enough with the blackout rules. But shuffling games down to like channel 450 ain't gonna help. Sorry Gary, you need to trade up. Hockey needs to be visible. I figure it's probably one of the most misunderstood sports.
On the upside, if you ever go to a game, you find that hockey really attracts totally HOT CHICKS!
