Maybe you can help me out with this. I just bought a Nitro Monster King for my nephew. As I was starting to break in the engine which is Nitro Star T-15L and it's mounted on its side. I noticed that it was leaking fuel between the heatsink and crankcase. I stopped the engine and made sure the heatsink hex screws were tightend and that the glow plug was tight as well. I restarted the engine and it still leaked from the same spot but not as much. I removed the heatsink and checked out the cylinder gasket and checked for any cracks or damage. I found nothing wrong. Is it a simple fix just by replacing the cylinder gasket? Or is it normal for the engine to leak a little when its mounted on its side? Any ideas on how to solve this little problem?

It's probably just leaking due to the rich carb settings. If it does not quit when you lean the engine out, then it is a machining defect. You'll have to contact HPI and warranty the engine. Do not tell them you opened the engine. Just tell them you made sure the bolts were tight.
