I was into nitro cars a while back then it just went away from me... but now i've found that there are neon underbody, antenna, license plate, headlights, tail lights, and fog lights that are able to be added to your car so now i've gotten back into it.. i've never purchased a car yet and i really dont know anything about them.. but i was just wondering what is a decent car to start out with... my uncle has one that goes about 80-90 mph.. thats the kind i'd like to start out with... mines mostly for modeling and showing it off,, i'd prolly take it out 1-2 times a week.. but i want one that is able to go really really really fast.. oh yea,,, i also need it to be a ready-2-run on road.. so i dont know what the highest engine those come with...so please respond and tell me the fastest ready2-run on road car there is... thankz.... the neons can be found @ www.rcneon.com

or if there is a website with fast rdy-2-run nitro cars then let me know... i've already been to www.hpiracing.com www.towerhobbies.com and various others... I'm probably sounding retarted but i know nothin about these things so i need the EXPERTS help in this... so plz let me know some good and fast ready-2-run nitro cars thx

The HPI RTR RS4 3 is a good kit, as well as the Associated NTC3. They don't go 80-90 mph, what RC does your uncle have? Is that stock?

If you want something that goes fast out of the box, I'd have to say the Schumacher 3 speed. Around here they sell for 345.00 as an RTR kit.

thankz for the info... i just looked at the RTR Nitro RS4 3 kit and its looks alright for a noob like me... but then i read a little bit more on it and it was talking about when you get into more serious driving you can switch the engine with the engine in the Nitro RS4 3 Type SS kit.. so i think I'm going to do that.. either that or go all out and build my own.. :wtf: (yea good luck with me doin that).. but thankz for the info... :hehe:

nope now I'm getting the Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec RTR w/Radio :contract:

I'd say the Schumacher Fusion .21. It's a damn rocket. I can't find a place big enough to take it full out.

Bring that 4-Tec and let's do some runnin' :wtf:

the 4-tec is a great entry level touring car, it handles adequately, has plenty of aftermarket suppport, and is quite fast. I am sure you will love it. Do you plan on racing, or just having fun? If racing is in your future, i would recommend something other than the traxxas though, as it isnt very competitive.

WELCOME TO RCNT! THE GREATEST RC SITE ON EARTH!

damn thos neons are cool!!!!!!!!! i can spiffy up my Lamboghini body and take it to the Cruise we have here for all the euros and they would be like DAMN THAT IS COOL!

Try to go with a Team Associated NTC3 RTR, that is what I started with, and i was just messin around and it was all fast, now that i have sunk some money into it, i am able to race and keep up, great 4 n00b's. I love it, i also have so much more room to make it faster now!!!!!

I also have an NTC3, but the kit version. it has been a great car and has propelled me nicely into the racing circuit. it was not my first touring car, although i wish it was.
Personally i think the NTC3 is the best touring car available, but thats just me, i try not to push my stuff on others.

I have the NRS4-3SS and did a Lambigini (spelling?) body in all black. I got this body because it comes with cool "light buckets" for the front lights. Tape off the headlight area, then use the buckets to install the lights into. With the light trim decals it looks as close to real as you are going to get. Installed a set of headlights/fog lights/tail-brake lights and underbody neon side stips. The tail lights brighten to brake lights by use of a tiny mico switch which I made a easily removable bracket. The switch is contacted by the servo horn when you go on the brakes. I have no been able to try it outside at night but ithe lights do illuminate out to about 20 feet inside the house at night (no, I don't run my car inside). The that is a little cheezy is trying to route the wiring and mount the two 9V batteries I need to power the lights.
