@Shooks SLR sounds like your gear mesh needs some work. I have found using a small plastic baggie, like the ones your ball bearings come packaged in, make for a perfect gear mesh.

would you know what size gear that is?
I do like the speed and torque i am achieving when the gears don't get stripped as you are now learning from me that i have changed out the spur and Pinion gears from Plastic to metal but only the pinion gear gets grounded down?

Shocks welcome. I see you have run into the same thing many of us have in there fixing in rc.. improper gear mess or lash... as WoodiE has said he uses a plastic bag were I use a piece of notebook paper..I take a piece of paper fold it so I have a double layer I then will put enough pressure on motor when it is loose and trans case to squeez the gears with paper between them to get correct gear mesh then just pull paper out when all is tight..I think there are a few youtube vids to show you this(more than likely its with 1 paper layer)20# paper is best.

Ok i will give this a shot, as soon as my new gears arrive shipping has been so iffy since Covid nothing has been on time so right now all i can do is watch the mail and wait.
