Well, with about 10 companies i called, geico was by far the cheapest with good coverage.

nice truck alpine
u need to come down to lafayette to my place of work and get a nice system put in that ill get you a good deal lol

Nice impound! I'd watch that 6.0's turbo though...and the EGR....turbo housings crack and EGRs crack too...But thats a good ol' power joke.

Nice buy.

And the injector harness SUCKS!!!

About five years ago I learned an insurance trick that I was unaware of in the past. I always thought if you drove smart and didn't have any accidents insurance would keep your premiums the same or lower... not so. In fact the longer you stay with an insurance company they will increase your premiums over time.

Since then I've shopped new insurance companies about once every year or two. 30mins of my time and it's saved me a bundle already. I dad was with an insurance company for about 15 years - he switched and saved him well over $600 a month (they covered everything, cars, house, etc).

Currently I'm with progressive.

USAA is a little different than most. My insurance premium has gone down every 6 month renewal for the past seven years that I have been with them. Now I have my guns insured with them ($15,000 total loss protection with $100 deductible) along with $30,000 worth of renters insurance (with $300,000 liability and no deductible) for a grand total of $92.51 a month. Not too shabby IMO.

Ill trade you a nice JL W7 12, in a custom box, for somthing with a little bit of thump behind the back seat..........

Man i wish i still had my pictures from my old system in my s10... rollinlow, s10 ext. cab

Two Kicker L7s, 1700 watts in kicker amps
JL Audio speakers, two XR series 6.5s
two VR series 6.5s in the kickpanels
two Kicker KS series 4x6s(yea i know 4x6 *** but thats what fit there)

With a JVC elKameleon deck... i miss that :(

And when I got my first one it was a $1000 sub. Probably just gona upgrade the stock speakers to alpine type x's and add a new alpine headunit with iPod capabilities.

I had that deck in my first car. I miss that too :(

I am an Infinity Kappa fan.

back in the day I had a really nice all around amp by Infinity. Nothing crazy... I think it was 50x4 + 200x1 with three x-overs. It was really nice for the simple system I had. I would buy Infinity again.

I used to be sponsored by alpine localy and had 6 type x 12's in the back of my explorer, and alpine type r 5x7's all around, with 6 alpine monoblock 1000's pushing the subs, and 2 alpine 350s pushing the 5x7s.

I might just do some component setups in the new truck. I just want good sound now, not loudness.

Alpine has some kicken speakers i will give them that. i have them in the Superduty and they are great

I have 1 12" Adire Audio Brahma sub in a 2 sq box with a Hifonics Titan amp in the back of my ranger......yea its overkill.

I love Hifonics thats good stuff man. I have a Zapco Amp in my truck for the little Solobaric i have and i swear if i ever buy any Amp ever again it wont be anything but Arc Audio, Zapco , or Hifonics all three by far some of the best Amps on the market

I wish I could get another Brahma. Adire had some of the highest SPL/SQL woofers on the market and then they closed...I was sad. They had a video of 1 10" Brahma tearing apart an Expedition, literally...blew out the back windows and blasted open the back doors too...thats why I say its overkill in my little truck, but damn is it fun!

Once I had kids I had to divest my Protege of the major stereo components and dropped down to just the Kenwood 879 deck, a single 10" JL ProWedge and perfectly matched Alpine amp.. went for SQL over SPL. I'm getting old so I need my hearing in working order. That's the excuse my wife said I could use at least.

I do miss my old setup though: the Kenwood deck, six crossfire BMF 15" subs, 2 crossfire 6.5 X series components, a crossfire VR-2000D monoblock amp, crossfire VR-804 4-chan amp, 3.1 audio control EQ, caps, 8 gauge wiring, etc..... A friend of mine did competition setups professionally and had an in with Crossfire so I got things pretty cheaply on the side.

As much as I miss blowing punk-ass kids off the road with Pink Floyd or Opera cranked up, I do like having rear seats again :)

I will admit I helped in this but damn :OT: lol we Hijacked the crap out of Alpines thread

Nononono... we're just giving him some different options on how to properly accessorize his new toy.

And anyway, he's the one who brought up sound systems in the first place. It's all his fault really.
