ok i have just started to get interested in this hobby and from last summer doing jobs like walking beans, mowing lawns, and detassling i have bout 1 grand :OMG: and i am wanting a very good, reliable nitro R/C car i. Yes i do come from Hickville,ILL. N/E way i had bought a used traxxas revo but i busted the chasie in half so i jsut gave the parts to my friend for all the help he has given me but i was finally thinking of buying a brand new hpi but all i know is that i want a off-road car maybe a savage LTD. well need all the help/ suggestions i can get.

:wasted: well ya n/e thx alot for any and all help

the savage is a very tough truck. and they just released the new savage x, should be a good rig.

The savage is a great bashing rig..
Does
walking beans pay alot? And what does it take to do this:ponder2:
Any way welcome brother to the best rc site on the net....:wasted: I am with crown royal!

Hey, I too am new to the hobby. just bought a new tmaxx a few weeks ago, and lastnight I ordered the cybermaxx kit. Any helpful tips would be great. I'm thinking about getting the pro-line powerstroke shocks, what do ya think?

savage is a great truck to have. go for the savage x that seem to be the newest one. oh yeah welcome to the forum.

one more question how did you manage to bust the chassis in half? like did you break it or did it bend in half? thats crazy.

Now when you say busted in half...does this mean the Revo was in two pices? You really need to post some pictures of that one. Anyways, welcome to the boards!! If your breaking aluminum chassis in half, I'm not sure what to suggest. The Savage has a pretty good rep for bashing around here but never used one my self.

another vote for the savage here,. that thing drives away from tumbles where your sure SOMETHING broke

ok well i have no pics and i have decided that i want to give up bashing its fun but to expensive i am now thinking about buying a buggy or maybe a truggy and my friend and i were bashing and he had his T-MAXX and he has a rollcage and my Revo hit his T-MAXX and it looked fine but then when i picked it up by the back wheels the chasie fell apart...............then later i found out the the chasie was already broke then sadered back together i was mad but i did get my money back from the guy. So and to answer your question Zandor walking beans pays bout 100-500 dollars depending on how big the fields are and u walk through the rows with a hoe and deweed the field. O' And IBinSANEDIEGO i play guitar piano and i skateboard and plz don't post if u have no advice on my question

oldnail, it sounds like you got a bad taist from a hacked up revo.

these trucks arent THAT fragile. they will break at times, but not that easly. try yourself a savage (top dawg basher, toughest truck made) the revos are making a name for themselves (good ones, not soldered together hack jobs) but is more adapted for racing. but ether of these trucks should hold up way better then a t-maxx (stock).. let us know what you decide maby we can help you find some good deals

i've owned savages and a revo and i don't think you would be going wrong with either. and now there's the savage x and the revo 3.3. even better!

A definite vote for the Savage X,you cannot go wrong with a Savage for bashing.

And your Revo with the hack repair job that broke, the truck was submited to abuse before you even touch it I am sure.A new Revo or one that was not abused badly would never suffer the same fate.

Looks like they're putting the 3.3 in the T-Maxx too...$500 though. I'd rather get an origonal revo!

Welcome to the hobby! Good luck and don't forget, it's a never-ending money pit. And be loyal to your hobby store...I try not to buy from tower unless it's the last resort.

Well said! I drove my Savy away from crashes that made me close my eyes LOL The Revo is also a great truck when it's not hacked up. The Revo chassis is a A lot more durable than a Maxx.

yea poor savy. there has been many times when I'm thinking "this is gonna hurt!!" and it drives away.

even others watching are like "ouch that broke something" but nope it keeps comming back and laughing at me... saying "is that all you got????"
