New to the r/c hobby. Got a question or two if I may.

First off I bought this vehicle, follow the link below.

Instead of having to purchase a ton of batteries over and over can I purchase a battery pack like the one in the link below.

http://www.nitrorcx.com/51c00-02155.html

And lastly, if I do decide to upgrade a part or two after I get a hold of the machine what is the best part to replace/bang for my buck

I know this is all probably questions that are answered throughout the forums but I searched for a bit and couldn't find it. Decided itd be best to join and ask just in case I had future questions. Any response is much appreciated.

I'm not sure if I seen which battery it takes so to be sure, get the rc car first and go from there. Most rcs will only take one style of battery which is either flat or the hump style like you showed. I would definitely upgrade to a rechargeable pack like this one but with more milleamps. The 1100 is only going to last about 4 to 5 tanks before it needs charged again. I have DURATRAX 1600 Mah batteries I use for my fleet and they're great.

you can pick up 1400-1600mah hump packs off of ebay for just a couple bucks more than what you paid for that one and if your gonna be doing extended bashing sessions like more than a couple few hours you'll probably gonna want more than one battery but that type of pack is better than the 4 "AA" packs.

As for what parts to get replacements for I can't answer that as I'm not familair with that kit. As for upgraded parts you're probably gonna be limited to whatever that company sells. Parts support for that I imagine is going to be pretty limited in terms of upgrades.

I would shy away from the Exceed brand as they aren't really known for durability and ease of finding replacement parts. If you look around, you can find even higher capacity receiver packs (I've seen up to 4200mAH hump packs).

Well for my first rc I wasn't sure exactly what to get so I went with this one, not to expensive and it'll help me get acquainted with the hobby. Thanks for all the replies!!!

How much to the bigger ones cost? I may start picking those up when my current ones need replacing.

Where is a reputable place to purchase the battery accessories and what not?
