hi. I'm new to climbing and I'm think of buy a rock crawler. I have no idea where to start. I have looked around at some but it just went over my head. Do you guys have any suggestion on what i should get, i have no clue.

thanks. =)

axial artr kit
cc sidewinder
ccbec
high tq servo
some 45t motor
tx and rx
some type of battery

that will get you started

or, go with a Venom Creeper! whats your budget on this build? that will make a difference on where to start. Rollinlow narrowed it down pretty good, but if you are doing a very low budget build then there are lots of other options to get you started, post up your max price of how much you are gonna spend....

i don't really know how much for a good set up like 700, 800 i dont really know how much i dont really want to go spend 1000 on one. So could you tell me how much a good one is.

a descent setup can be done for $5-600 with the stuff rollin mentioned.

$230ish for a artr
$100ish for sidewinder and bec
$30-100+ for a servo, depending on how nice you want
$20 for a motor
$25-$300 for a tx/rx, just depends on what you want to use.
$25+ for battery
its kinda hard to give exact prices on radios and batteries, if you went lipo that could start around $30 and go way up, or nimh, wich would be pretty cheap for some nice saddle packs....if the axial artr is something you might want to do, maybe start out with it and then go from there, if possible try to get a sidewinder or mamba max and a cc bec for sure then move on. a hitech 645mg servo can be had for around $30 bucks wich will work ok or you can spend way more and get a servo putting down over 400+ tq. the hobbico cs170 is 333oz of tq and get be had for $80 wich is a steal...the radio is all up to you, you can run a super cheap am radio and can find them for like $15 shipped alot of the time! but if you think you will end up wanting to run dig then you will need a 3 channel with 3rd position switch radio, wich you can find modded tq3's for cheap sometimes or spend the money and get a spektrum dx3 or 3r and have all the settings you need for dig....

heres something that might help you out, ckrc does package deals. heres a axial kit and ck includes all electronics with it....it will need assembly, and thats complete assembly by the way, axles, trans, everything has to be assembled, or for $20 more they make the same deal but with a axial artr...

i've been looking at the vemon creeper does any one know every thing i need to complete the kit.
thanks

Haha. I think I'll going to get venom creeper just because it looks like a good starter truck. I can always up grade it or get a bigger an. Better one in the futur. I'm going to get it where slowngreen said thanks for all the help. It was great

no problem man, the creeper is a very good starter truck, just as good as the axial if not better....and yeah you can start off with cheap electronics to get you started and then upgrade alittle at a time...good luck

Keep in mind that the Venom Creeper is a pretty new rig so Hop-ups and replacement parts(should something break) may not be readily available at your local hobby shop. But with the AX10 you can replace everysingle part on it with all the after market stuff out now. Of course it is pretty cool having something different.

yeah but another cool thing is Venom will work with you and might replace some parts for free!
