Ok guys after reading about a million post and opinions on which car and motor I should get I have decided to get the TC3 nitro with a .18tz engine. I know it is a lot of engine for a small car and it is not race legal but here is why. I live in Phoenix and as far as i know there is only one place maybe 2 in town that even race the nitro tour cars and they are way north of me so I will not be racing only bashing. Second I want speed. My revo has the .18TM in it and it will hall a$$ so if this TZ engine is as good as i hear this little car will be really fast. Anyway, I will post pictures of the entire build as soon as I get them.

Excellent choice. Just make sure you keep an eye on the ball diffs for the NTC3. Also get extra diffgears and drive pinions. These will be the first to go in any high power situation. Not right away but over time.

is that just a weak spot for that car or is that because I am using a powerful engine? I can't wait to get this and build it. I have not built a car in a few years thanks to RTR. Most of the time the building is the best part.

Yeah, as far as the drive line is concerened. If you can, get what's called "the fix" off a guy on eBay. Not too many LHS carry it and this guy likes to do the business off ebay. I believe his eBay member name is fly0 and is based out of florida.

"The Fix" will tie in the front end and keep it from shifting when hit. That's another problematic area on the car. Also, if you can get the side brace that goes inbetween the tank and pipe, you'll get some extra protection in a hit since when hit on the pipe side, the pipe will shift and make contact with the tank.

Ok guys here is my NTC3. I still have to get a filter and some other little things but I am hoping to break it in tomorrow or even today. This thing was easy to build how ever I did have a few issues with the screws heads stripping out. I also need to upgrade the rear arms and add a few bearings that didn't come w/the kit. Other than that the .18 TZ was a snap to install. I would like to put a new tuned pipe on there if anyone has any suggestions..

The NTC3 is a great car. I't gonna be stupid fast with the TZ in it. You will probably need some diff gears tho, that engine will tear them up from time to time.

just make sure you shim them up to take out the slop. The gears will strip, eventually but you can only do so much to prevent. Rebuild them every once in a while. Check for grooves in the diff plates and regrease as needed. Rebuilding will a least allow you to inspect for wear and tear.

I just put the first tank through for the break in. That engine sounds mean. I can't wait till tomorrow to destroy it haha.
