Hey everybody, hope you all are well. Feels good to be back.
Have you guys worked on this warthog metal body from amazon?

I’m tired of this rig, not the performer I thought it would be. It’s a bit top heavy and tall.
Thanks

i would think the metal cage would make it MORE top heavy as it weighs more wopuldnt it?
the stock body shell only weighs 35g while the aluminum body weighs 59. can you add some weight below the axle to counter that top weight? below axles or even with axle line? that might help? maybe try a few lead fishing weights along the front bumper to give it a few grams of counterweight when its approaching the zenith where the front tires leave the ground?
that body definately LOOKS way cooler,

hexk id even try electric tape to just hold a few onto the axle as a quick test,

I wish they had made these out of Carbon Fiber. The full frame aluminum does tend to be top heavy. Once you've added as much weight below the Center of Gravity that you can, there is not much more you can do.

I watched a vid and the whole thing opens up as it goes through obstacles…not sure I like that. On the other hand, printed stuff is not exactly super durable.
I was also considering going for the deadbolt body but maybe with a lcg chassis frame.
Worst case I’ll add more weight to the bottom of my current built, it tips over very easy.

I ended up going for the meus racing MB24
Thanks guys

Well, I went a totally different path but I’m happy with the result. I used a heavy injora skidplate and also heavy wheels to balance the weight of the body. I used the microkomodo paired with a lizard pro and my FS-GT5 controller.

So somebody suggested adding gladiator high clearance links to the back and I decided to give it a try…it worked like a charm!! My MB24 climbs like Spiderman now.
