Lost a bundle on my 401 last year. With the way the economy is, figure a lot of you did too.
So I got a loan and purchased an '03 Durango with 42,000 miles for the better half. I knocked down my contribution from 10% to 2%. Almost the same paycheck with the loan being taken out. ($15 difference)

Bronco is sitting in the back yard. (no it's not on blocks) I had thought about selling it. Got about 200,000 miles, still runs good and the body is in decent shape. Gets about 12mpg and got that Ford "road walk" going on though. I really hated to drive it.

Had to pull the kid out last weekend. He was about a mile back in the woods. The old truck did pretty good. Went through some fairly big holes. Kept in 2-wheel drive just to see how far I could make it. Didn't go to 4-wheel till we hooked a chain to his. Bronco wouldn't pull him out right away. Was dark and didn't see how bad he was hung up. (Frame was bottomed out and had to jack it up the next day.)

Really thinking about keeping the beast now. Always thought about getting something to beat around with. Going to cost me $100 a year to keep insurance on it. Maybe make a project out of it? I won't take my daily driver in the woods. Be good for that and to take fishing.
Maybe getting the 'ol lady a new ride has got me an off road beater. :)

would make a good off road beater for sure!

For just the extra C note a year, you'll find it will pay for itself with the convenience of having a banger to keep around.
Doesn't local zoning ordinances in your area REQUIRE you to keep at least one vee-hikkle up on blocks in the front yard? :D

LMAO

Actually it's one vee-hickul on blocks + one major appliance.
I'm getting around the vee-hickul because of 2 major appliances, the toliet sitting on the deck, and 8 little mine curtain tents with my chickens tied to them. Had to go through zoning to get it approved. But they decided I was doing my part. :D

LMFAO!!! I forgot about the major appliance variance for not portable homes with porches. :hehe:

Isn't this your neighbor?

LMAO!
Actually that is the mayor. He lives in the better part of town. Still can't believe he would put the crapper so close to the house though. :hehe:

Got a few pics for ya alpinehyperlite. I know you have seen it before. Maybe a view from a helicopter?

Don't post pics much. Imageshack has changed. Having a hard time with it.

.22 Browning, .357 Smith and a .22 High Standard.

We were out about 3 hours. 'Ol Lady freaking out. Had a good time though. Haven't been back in those places and don't know where I'm going to end up. She did mention getting a winch for the front of it. Gotta love the little girl. I've been thinking the same thing. :D

The Mayor? LMFAO! He keeps it close to the house so his wife doesn't have to go far to bring him another beer.

Do it NOW!!! Any time the wife suggests something for a truck or an R/C, you need to do it in a 24 hour period. She might not slip up again for several years. Do it NOW!!!

Damn! Never thought of that. Pretty smart. Guess that is why he is the Mayor.
The toliet on my deck isn't working and my privey (sp?) is 30ft from the house. 'Ol lady can't hear me if I need another beer. I usually take a small cooler for those long sessions. :hehe:

Winch will have to wait. Too much I have to get for the house.

Alpinehyperlite, here is the Browning and my 1022. http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/897/dscn0249tj9.jpg Not a very good pic.

why you got so many guns?

Because they are fun to shoot, and in digger's part of the woods they help keep the rodent population down, or bag the nights dinner LOL!!!!! As for the Ford keep it for sure, you never know when you might need a extra veehikul, LOL!!!!:hehe: Hell turn it into a Crawler, LOL!!!!!:p::hehe:

lol, they are fun to shoot,I have been on hunting trip once with my Grand Father when I was younger,we got nothing although it was a good fun.

Gun laws are pretty strict there aren't they? Can you even get a firearm?
I've just got 6. Don't even hunt. Got a good friend with over 100. Gun safe he bought, empty weighed over 700#. He broke a rented hand dolly getting it in the house. That is redneck. :D

My 72yr old mother keeps a loaded .38 Colt in her bedroom.
