new project

well i went to the races today and i saw this nitro mt in a milk crate for 55 bucks. i looked at it and it wasn't in totaly bad shape. i gave the kid 40 bucks for it and now i got me a project but dont know what i want to do with it. most likely it will be a beater truck and might get takin to the track. i am gonna update everyone on the progress, can i get some ideas on what to run in it??? oh here are some beginning pics before any rebuilding

huh, what are the odds, i saw you on maxxtraxx too. good luck with your project...what kind of truck is it?

its a HPI nitro mt. well atleast it looks like one but that will soon change when i get it all back together. i am gonna have my dad take the chassis to work so he can sandblast it to its natural finish. i need to start making a list of stuff i need. will keep you posted. what motor/pipe combo should i run?

Man I am glad you said you where gonna get that chasis striped as soon as you asked what you should do my first thing I though of was STRIP THAT CHASSIS. I would just drop a OS .12 CV-RX in there put on a stock header and an AE pipe..X

well i raced electrics at washtenaw county fairgrounds (thats where i was at when i bought it) that series ended yesterday. there is a couple tracks around here. go to www.rcpimp.com its the most popular site for michigan racers. also there is michigan-rc.com and teamrcv.com UPDATE: i have taken the entire truck apart and this is what i need so far: fuel tank, motor rebuild for the .15 fe (gonna port it an run it till i get a new motor) spur gear, wheel bearing, brake pad, clutch bell, air filter, and a steering linkage

got the chassis back today and it looks alot better. gonna clean it up and put some of it back together tomorrow. will have more pics tomorrow!
