i took the glowplug off the engine and i moved the clutch by hand, the rod inside the engine isnt even moving. is this normal?

does it still get a lil tight when u turn the flywheel (think thats what u meant, not clutch)? not near as much when u have the plug in, but a lil tight like the piston is reachin the pinch?

pistons are hard to see w/head on. if u feel theres a prob, take the head off and get a good view of whats goin on.

better yet b4 u do that. pull exh manifold off and look in from the rear exh port and watch 4 the piston goin past.

if it doesn't move. teardown time.

coinciding w/ur other post. was this engine a PS now it not? do u have ur 1way bearing and shaft still in there from ur PS (ie, just cut the cord off or left it there). wonder if thats binding up if u are indeed locked. or if u put it back 2gether right if u converted the motor from PS to non-PS

this is a brand new v-spec, what could the prob be, i havent doen anything to it

Sounds like he is turning the clutch bell and should be turning the flywheel. You won't move the piston if you are turning the clutch bell.

what do you mean your turning the clutch and the pistn isnt moving, do you mean you can't turn the flywheel or that the fly wheel turns and the piston isnt moving

the flywheel, the rod inside is not even moving, when i use the starter box, it is kinda just sawing off the thing that pushes the flywheel to move, i dont understand this, its a new engine and all, but its like stuck!!

meant to say the flywheel turns but not the piston!!

so the fly wheel is turning easily but not the piston at all, UMMMMMMMM check that the nut that holds the flywheel on is tight before we go any futher

The flywheel nut is not tightend all the way down. Take the engine out and tighten it back down. If your flywheel doesn't move then the piston is stuck at tdc. The v-spec is know for insane compression. Push on the flywheel with a screw driver to break it free.

Man eather your flywheel is loose and spining on the shaft.Or you busted the crank or the con rod is busted!!!!

if you want to check your conrod and crank, undo the 4 screws on the back plate make sure your piston is up not down and pull the rear plate off, see if the crank and conrod r ok

My guess, is it is the compression. The same thing happened to me when i was breaking in my Novarossi. I had the take a screw driver and force the flywheel to make the engine at bdc. Then it helped when i took the coolinghead off, then put it back on (i had to do this 3 times).

well the screw was too tight that held the flywheel and the bell on, so i loosed it up a bit and the piston was moving up and down!!

I am confused here The screw was to tight??? the flywheel is held on by a nut...

the screw at the very end that is hlding everything together was way to tight

That screw only hold the cb on....What is holding your flywheel on Is my next question??? Can you take some pics....

i myself is confused too, i just kinda messed with the screw at the end of it, anybody got the mp777 maual, look at the engine section and see the screw you put on at the very end!!! i just twisted it a bit and my compression let up
