Here I have a .18 O.S Max TM I got this in a trade with a Revo. The guy said it ran good and i took his word for it and I got the shaft lol. The engine had no compression what so ever. So I replaced the piston and sleeve but I dont think I did it right the piston is tight all the way from top to bottom . I lubed it all up and still very tight throughout the whole rotation of the flywheel. I went to break it in and got it started but it over heated within 1 min of idle time. So I image that I did not do something right. Can someone tell me if Iam screwed or not?

If you replaced the piston and sleeve, make sure you bring the engine back to factory tuning! If you run a race/bash tune on it....you'll under lube it and cause overheating.

Also make sure you put the piston and sleeve in the right way, of course it probably wouldn't run that way, but maybe.

on a new engine i use this on the inside parts: permatex ultra slick engine assembly lube item# 81950. this will protect the parts when they are wanting to run dry. any good parts house should be able to get it for you. if not any assembly lube with zinc in it should fine. it will smoke on first start up, 1-2 min, dont worry. dont put it in the fuel. how about putting extra oil in the fuel? never tryed it but it might work just to get you out of this mess, not to much or it will foul out the plug, just like a street truck.
