Speaking of pipes, got a question guys. I'm also running the Wasp .26, and was wondering with the pullstart system, what would be a good pipe?? I need enough clearance for the pullstart. Don't know, if Pektrt is running the ps or not. any help would be appreciated. El Pirata if your out there, chime in. Skymaxx??

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?? Anybody out there? Well, this is what I've been told: You need to purchase a Duratrax header for the nitroquake. This header will give you enough clearance for the pull start. Then, it's left up to you in way of muffler/pipes. right now I personally run a RB 086. With this same set up I talk about. Personally I am looking for an in-line pipe that will work with this set up. Anybody got any suggestions??

The new jammin jp-1 pipe is also affordable. Thats what i used to replace the stock pipe on my Storm...it will make it quieter to!!!!!!

I will have to agree on the Jammin Pipe JP1. I run it on my PCR PRO. works great. I also have the 086 pipe by Ofna and it's a great pipe also.

Sorry, somehow missed this thread. I can not offer you much in the way of advice as I run a non-pullstart engine in my buggy. I started to look into a pull start, but followed some RCNT advice and went the starterbox route.

It is damn inconvenient if your engine is having problems and stalls out on the track a lot, but it is really easy on the hands if everything is tuned up just right.

So far, I am happy running a non-pullstart engine in my buggy.

As for the Wasp and what pipe to run, El Pirata is probably better equipped to answer that as he has run something along those lines. I would caution that he also runs starterbox engines in his buggies.

I know...no help for your question, but I did owe you a response since you called me by name...

If you want to go budget run a HB pipe with the stock savage header. I ran that with my Wasp.26 on my savage and my MGT and then my K3, it made good power. Get a motorsaver airfilter. If you want more power from the Wasp get a 9mm venturi insert or bore out the OE 8mm. I went to the GH cooling head for the MGT TT.21 engine. It fits the Wasp and it gave it more power too. Many people have reported a power increase with their TT.21 engines after switching to the GH head. With my experience the wasp on the K3 if you're going to spend coin on a pipe I'd go for a top-end pipe for the Wasp since it's a bottom end engine you don't need more bottom end, you want more top especially in a 8 lbs. buggy. Ofna Jp-2 or like.

Why not run a roto-start on the buggy instead. I got tired of pulling off the body to start it.

I just switched to a OS VZB V-Spec on my K3 from the Wasp .26. The OS is way ( no comparison) more powerful with a broad useable powerband. The Wasp is peaky and dumps all it's power at once causing loads of tire spin, burns out tires, and doesn't make for fast lap times.

The THS .25+ looks like a good pipe to me, I'm considering trying it out myself.

I have this pipe on both of my Ofna Outlaws.. clears the pullstart nicely. I can't say how it runs cuz there brand new and havn't seen fuel yet. Only thing I would suggest is a pipe that is designed for an engine of that size.

he's probably busy getting situated. He just moved not too long ago. he was here on and off for a little then he popped in to say he had finished moving and was back. i think I remember his saying something about getting a new internet connection at the new place but havn't heard from him in a while now.

last i heard he was take some ship from a group of guys and he just earned his patch and a wooden leg...
